Sort by: Rating | Release Date | Rating Date | Name3.0 goodThe Contortionist Exoplanet (Redux)Like all the Contortionist's albums, Exoplanet (the original) grew on me the more I listened to it; in fact, Exoplanet is one of my favorite albums of all time. When I first listened to this I had no idea they had re-mixed it, but I discovered they did almost immediately. Needless to say, I like it but I don't. I fell in love with album for what it originally was and even though I still really like some of the minor adjustments they made, I dislike the "drowning out" of vocals and guitars. If they would have left the original vocals and guitars alone, I'd be more approving. So all in all it's an interesting twist but I don't believe it's totally necessary.
