a fantastic compilation, much more flawless and hard-to-argue-with tracklisting than "Stars and
Topsoil" that recently got a much deserved - and from what I've heard a well executed - remaster.
I really wouldn't change a thing here, things start really solid with the first tracks which
include the rare "Milimillenary" - a very good song - but the real magic starts when "Hitherto"
flows into the classic "Pearly Dewdrops' Drops". both this and another stand-out "Aikea-Guinea"
are to be found here (imo) in their best versions, the latter having a fantastic wall of sound
that the video version lacks. next is easily one of the Twins' best tracks "Lorelei" and the way
"Pepper Tree" 's ticking clock blasts into another CT's top 5 track "Mussette and Drums" is
somehow even better than on "Head Over Heels". in short - easily one of my fave CT releases and
one of the rare cases of a compilation fantastically done.

actually some of the tracks are easily better here than on Vulnicura. the second half of "Family" with its amazing drones is especially ecstatic, and while "Mouth Mantra" has some even better live versions, it's pretty kickass here as well. "Wanderlust", "All Neon Like" or "Come To Me" are all great older reworks as well - as a whole this is imo much more convincing than Biophilia Live.

I'm kinda anti this release because there are just too many best CT moments missing (Mussette and Drums, Frou Frou Foxes In Midsummer Fires, Ivo, Those Eyes That Mouth..) while other tracks hardly rank among their best (Blind Dumb Deaf). in short, while The Pink Opaque was a wonderfully picked and sorted compilation (with still the best versions of some of their classics), this one leaves me pretty divided.

awful, and I actually liked where she was heading before - Halcyon Days is a surprisingly solid
re-release. Army's a clear higlight, most of the other stuff is delete-worthy. Love Me Like You Do
is generic as hell, too.
