A somewhat different direction for the band but still retains the deathcore edge of their earlier work. Some of the tracks such as " Phantom Pain" evoked feelings i haven't had in music for a long time.

Album of the year so far for me, Souls Asunder lives in my head rent free. Lorna Shore's Pain Remains is fantastic as well but suffers from more repetition.
Silent Descent Duplicity
Sinergy Suicide By My Side
Slipknot Slipknot
Slipknot .5: The Gray Chapter
Sold Soul I Hope We Make It Out of This Alive
A welcome step up from their debut. There's a stronger sense of atmosphere with the orchestrations
and use of violins, though they sometimes drown out the guitars. Arguably the most divisive part
will be Twisted Insanes feature in Cathedral of Dracul, other than that there's a lot of variety
here.
Soul Sanctuary Afterlife
Stratovarius Nemesis
System Divide The Conscious Sedation
Tarot Suffer Our Pleasures
The Breathing Process Odyssey: (Un)dead
Symphonic Deathcore is definetly my favorite incarnation of the genre and holy smokes these guys nail it. Definelty recommended if you're into bands like Make Them Suffer.
The Breathing Process Samsara
A fantastic return to form for this band. It's able to strike a great balance between being really heavy and melodic.
The Defiled Daggers
The Drip The Haunting Fear of Inevitability
The Haunted Made Me Do It
The Locust Plague Soundscapes
The Project Hate MCMXCIX Armageddon March Eternal
The Wise Man's Fear Valley of Kings

Winds of Plague Decimate the Weak
Winds of Plague Blood of My Enemy
The bands strongest effort since "Decimate The Weak" and "The Great Stone War".
Yousei Teikoku Pax Vesania
Yousei Teikoku the age of villains
While it does have tracks that don't hit as hard as they could have (Hitoya no Maboroshi,Eclipsed), it also has some of the finest work they've done in ages (Hell in glass, Phantom terror). Definetly a worthy addition to their discography.

3.5 great

Cradle of Filth Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder

Never been the biggest fan of downtempo but this is some really solid stuff.
Defecto Nemesis
A very solid album with some absolute bangers on it. The band even managed to take a ballad, something i usually dislike and absolutely nailing it (The Sacrificed). Only downside are the rock n roll oriented and lyrically silly Savage and Gravity.

As has been said already, the album is far to long it'd be much more consistent at around 40 minutes rather than over an hour. Granted there's some absolute bangers on here such as the more melodic "The Prince Testament" or the eerie closer "Coffin".
Silent Descent Mind Games
Silent Descent Turn To Grey
Sirenia The 13th Floor

This is like getting hit repeatedly with a sledgehammer.

Thy Art Is Murder Hate
Thy Art Is Murder Human Target
Solid effort from the band that got me into this genre in the first place but as much as i love CJs vocals he really needs to shake it up a bit more next time, same goes for the music. Even though it is relentless and punishing like you'd expect from them they can only stick to this formula for so long.

Suprisingly passable nu metal. If you can get past the predictable nature of the album and sub par lyrics it's a decently entertaining listen.

I Declare War Malevolence
I Declare War Songs for the Sick
I declare war brings more I declare war. But if that's what you're looking for then the album delivers, even if it's more of a chugfest compared to their previous outing.
Impending Doom Baptized in Filth

Kamelot Poetry for the Poisoned

Subversion (UK) Animi
Suicide Silence The Black Crown
Sworn In The Death Card
The Browning Standing on the Edge
The Browning Burn This World
The Browning Isolation
The simplistic nature of the music bring it down a bit for me but i won't deny this is a fun listen either way, with songs like "Pure Evil" and "Disconnect" being good examples.
The Convalescence This Is Hell
The Devil Wears Prada Dead Throne
the GazettE Dogma
The Killers Hot Fuss
As far as pop rock goes i'll have to say i did enjoy this more than i thought i ever would.
Thy Art Is Murder The Adversary
Waking The Cadaver Authority Through Intimidation
Waking The Cadaver making a fun and decent album?. Is this the right timeline?.
Winds of Plague Resistance
Yousei Teikoku metanoia
A decent effort from this long running band. "Wahrheit" is definetly the highlight.

2.5 average
Aborted The Purity of Perversion
Actus Reus Vengeance
Not the worst but not very good either. The band has improved a lot since this release. The worst part is the clean singing (see Failure To Comply) which needs work to say the least.
Betraying the Martyrs Phantom
Carnifex Dead in My Arms
Carnifex The Diseased and Poisoned
Chelsea Grin Self Inflicted

Ingested Surpassing the Boundaries of Human Suffering
Nightland Umbra Astra Luna
Nightwish Endless Forms Most Beautiful
Sirenia The Seventh Life Path
Sonata Arctica Ecliptica - Revisited: 15th Anniversary Edition
Terror Universal Make Them Bleed
It's a decently fun time. The big downside though is the awful lyrics.
Thousand Foot Krutch Exhale
Thy Art Is Murder Infinite Death
Until I Wake Inside My Head
For the record and Octane are absolute bangers. Sadly the rest of the record did little to stay interesting and feels like your average modern metalcore album.
Winds of Plague Against the World

Black Veil Brides We Stitch These Wounds
Carnifex Love Lies in Ashes

Thousand Foot Krutch Oxygen: Inhale
Utsu-P Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
I didn't like this remaster at all. It completely ruins the vibe of the original songs even more with synths that didn't need to be there at all (Potatohead in wonderland is a good example of this).
Winds of Plague A Cold Day in Hell

1.5 very poor
Blood on the Dance Floor All the Rage
Suicide Silence Suicide Silence
Waking The Cadaver Perverse Recollections Of A Necromangler
Waking The Cadaver Beyond Cops, Beyond God

1.0 awful
