5.0 classic
Between the Buried and Me Colors
I can never forget this album. To this day, it's still a joy to listen to. This is a masterpiece. Every song has its place and is executed with great cohesion. Its a little rowdy at times but hey, its metal.
Hypno5e Acid Mist Tomorrow
Of Machines As If Everything Was Held In Place
I really really enjoyed this for what it's trying to be. A little post hardcore, a little emo, a little metal core. It has some really great buildups and cathartic moments. The vocals are great clean and dirty and i can honestly go through the whole album without wanting to skip a song which is exactly what i consider to be a classic.
The Used The Used
It may be nostalgia on my part but the album all the way through just makes sense. No songs feel out of place, no songs get tired too fast on first listen and the vocals hold a lot of power which im a sucker for. Great stuff.
The Weeknd Echoes of Silence
Lmao baby making music is what this is. I don't understand how anybody with a soul wouldn't be able to enjoy this. His voice is so delicious and every song has something that makes it unique. Gyrate with me, people.

4.5 superb
Brand New The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
This album is packed with emotion, well for the most part. The second half is definitely
weaker with some of the more forgettable upbeat tracks but the really raw tracks hit you
hard. This album has a special place in my heart. Just listen to 'Jesus Christ'. There's
great music to be heard here.
Buckethead Buildor
Explosions in the Sky The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place
For the most part, I avoid listening to this album because it genuinely makes me feel sad. Its a very depressing album at times which is good because that's what its trying to do; pull your heart strings. I just feel it needed to crush me more on some songs to be that classic album. Just a little more would have been perfect.
Hypno5e Shores of the Abstract Line
Simply for its aggression i give it a high rating. The singer doesn't have the dreadful black/death metal dirty vocals but more of a hardcore style of screaming. The clean singing is pretty good, pretty smooth. The atmosphere of the album is what really shines though. Moods i would say are introspective, aggressive, cathartic, and at times liberating.
Intronaut The Direction Of Last Things
I'm a person that absolutely needs emotion in my music. I loved this album. So very impressed. The technical skill is there, it surprises me at times, the vocals are unique, the mood shifts cohesively for the most part throughout the tracks, but it just lacks that emotional oomph i crave which is why i cant give it a five, though i really want to.
The Pirate Ship Quintet Rope for No-Hopers
Because it has violin (or whatever it is) and is so impressively atmospheric I have to
consider this album something special therefore i give it such a high rating. It can be a
little too raw at times but its depressing and painful mood is what makes it so unique
and its hard for a band to pull that off without treading off too far into doom metal
territory or boring ambient.
Thomas Bergersen Illusions
I still listen to a few songs to this day like Illusions, Aura, and Reborn. I would give it a 5 but some songs are too happy or gimmicky for my tastes. Still a very impressive record.

4.0 excellent
Corpo-Mente Corpo-Mente
Really great stuff. I only really wish the female singer, Laure le prunenec, showed off her screaming vocals more. On the song 'Ort' you get a glimpse of it and its raw as hell. On youtube the live version of said song displays a stronger version. The mood of the album is haunting, melancholic, dreamy, and otherworldly. Worth it.
Haken Affinity
My first Haken album and i have to say I found it thoroughly enjoyable. Some songs are kinda meh, but theres only like two, three at the most. The technical skill is there with some power metal elements. The vocals really make these guys stand out. The singers voice is so smooth and soothing. Kinda sounds like Tommy Rogers from Btbam.
Mechina Progenitor
Great stuff for the sheer energy. I can't stand death/black metal vocals but i can actually stomach the ones on this album and when the female vocals kick in its just that much better. Good shit man.
Silent Planet Everything Was Sound
The Number Twelve Looks Like You Worse Than Alone
This album is special to me. It's full of raw aggression and some extremely cathartic moments but sometimes Number 12 falls back on that very very rowdy hardcore style which im just not a fan of especially with the very sharp vocals. It hurts my head. Its a great listen, it really is.

3.5 great
Alesana The Emptiness
This album is a fun listen. It doesn't really hit me in the feels in any way since its kind of dramatic and silly at times, but it's one that i'll definitely always have fond memories of.
Buckethead Coupon
First half is kind of weak. Second half gets pretty epic.
Coda Calling Mission Mu
Standout tracks for me were 'Past the moon', 'Marine', and 'Rocking Horse'. The rest seem to tease the listener too much as if a great catharsis is coming but it's just instrumental diddling and while I understand they have played world music in the past, the emotional oomph is so necessary to make a track stand out. Too much skill over substance imo. Five good songs for me on this album but none other than 'Past the Moon' that I regularly play at random for sheer urge to hear.
Foster the People Torches
Sevendust Seasons
SikTh Opacities
A fun album. I'm honestly not a fan of the dirty vocals. I'm just okay with them but the music is surprising enough to entertain me. I give it a thumbs up for the aggression but admit it's a lil much for my soft self sometimes. Still great stuff.

3.0 good
Coda For Our Animal Friends
So this is world music just to put it out there. This is just a medley of instruments going at it to make some interesting music. I like the song 'giraffe girl' for its melancholic mood but that's really about it on this album for me since I'm not really a good background music kind of listener if it's not high energy. It's not my style but it's good music, it really is.
Disturbed Ten Thousand Fists
Haste the Day Pressure the Hinges
It's just a tad forgettable, isn't it? Still good music, just nothing special I feel.
Joe Budden All Love Lost
Now im not a rap fan with all this 'thuggin/make money, fuck bitches bs' so when a rapper just goes all heart or at least attempts to convey that message and does it as smooth as Joe Budden does here i'm impressed. I only give it a 3 cause im just not a rap fan but its good.

2.5 average
Asking Alexandria Reckless and Relentless
I disagree how some say this album is not as good as Stand Up and Scream. I appreciate the elevated aggression in this album. I actually found SUaS kind of whiny and wimpy. At the end of the day though this album is weak and deserves a lower rating but im okay with the dirty vocals and more power.

2.0 poor
Asking Alexandria Stand Up and Scream
Drake Take Care
So this is me being biased. I don't like Drake as a person. I don't like him in interviews and based on what he raps/sings about which is the case for most rappers. I don't like rap. I think the genre is really polluted. I only like half the album but i wouldn't listen to it again. If i was a rap fan, i would give it a higher rating. It's okay in my books.

1.5 very poor
Parkway Drive Deep Blue
I like aggression but the aggression in this album and this band really is just typical egocentric, directionless man-rage whose purpose really is just to be barely decent workout music. I've never wanted a singer to shut the fuck up more. These aren't musicians, they're just fuckboys who learned how to play some instruments.
The Used Imaginary Enemy
Like, idk. This album just came off as very cringy and gimmicky. The Used just don't seem like they're being genuine or their new direction comes off as very premature. This is an album i wouldn't even be okay listening to alone. There's only like three good songs.

1.0 awful
Lil Wayne Tha Carter IV
This is trash. I wholeheartedly believe if you enjoyed this kind of crap, you are just slow or a bad person.
