This deserves much more praise here. They’ve taken everything that made them great on previous releases and
elevated it to a much higher level. It’s like listening to King Crimson one moment, then The Melvins, mixed with
lots of progressive flourishes. Best of all, it all flows seamlessly and sounds massive. |

Cavernous but also strangely beautiful, this album takes the framework of their previous releases and stretches it in to something much more abstract and rewarding. It would be a strong album even if it was purely instrumental, but the the female vocals and the way they weave their way out of each composition, really elevates this in to something special. My favourite release of 2023 so far. |

I may be an outlier with my intense praise of this thing, but to me it’s one of the best albums of the year. Dana’s
contributions to Swans, as well as the addition of Tim Wyskida on drums, has really elevated this project to new
heights. There is so much experimentation with texture and timbre, with electronics and slide guitar lines
constantly bubbling under the surface. The inclusion of Dana’s vocals are also welcome and offers a new path for
this band that goes beyond the abstract. |

This is really excellent and feels like a culmination of the synth experimentations of their latter albums. I’m
hearing 90s KC influences scattered around as well as some interesting takes on rock in opposition style melodic
work, too. The icing on the cake is the wonderful production job, where everything is clear but functioning as part
of a whole (the drum tone and mix is almost perfect). No need for any project name changes, as this has been an
excellent evolution for them. A personal fave on this is Feel Time Begin. |
