This is by far my favorite bloodbath album aside from unblessing the purity ep and nightmares made flesh. The riffs are killer. Nystrom slays. The per sodomizer solos are flawless, the axenrot drumming is perfect and the vocals are super guttural, more so than any opeth album. Rating this a 3 is a crime against common sense. The outro for hades rising I get goosebumps every time. 4 at the least. 5 imo.Katatonia The Fall of HeartsRight from the beginning the first three tracks give you pulsing verses, catchy choruses, and great background atmosphere. The meat of the album is towards the end. I found this album to be much better than dead end kings, and matching the brilliance, if not exceeding that of Night is the new day. I'm honestly perplexed as to how some reviewers are giving it 3's or less. I guess people don't appreciate great music anymore.
