This album shines in all the little details. I was initially somewhat underwhelmed, perhaps expecting some more powerful songs like on the previous record. But this is a grower and a half. The lyrics are very strong - with only a few exceptions that lean a little to far into the explicit without being subtle or redeemingly vulnerable. The instrumentation is top notch. Yes it's quiet and laid back, but it manages that so incredibly well by infusing every second with just the right amount of subtle flourishes and crucially also by leaving them out when they don't serve the song. Also - pedal steel, hello??

Stunning album. The first half includes collaborations with other artists, while the second half is more conceptual and very much continuous. Sithu Aye crafts beautiful landscapes with his melodies and harmonies. The guitars have the typical unique Sithu sound. Overall a gorgeous album that really takes you on a journey.
