Impressive hooks abound, and for the few album-oriented folks left, the brief instrumentals bridge the gap nicely. I'm a huge fan of the dialed-down gain in songs like 'Go To War' - they're done an exceptional job with dynamics. There are a couple clunkers here, but they're easily overlooked - this is a strong album. I don't think I'd label it progressive, as others have, but it's well-crafted and enjoyable for any fan of heavy music.Soen Lykaia
