Maybe you like Ultraworld and Little Fluffy Clouds, or who knows why you're looking at this album. But if you haven't listened to this one, do it, because it's different and better than anything else they ever did. More layered and complex, more earthy. There's a depth to these songs that goes beyond their other work, and is as profound as anything ever produced in the electronic/dance genre. 4.5 superbBob Dylan John Wesley HardingMassive Attack No Protection: Massive Attack vs Mad ProfessorTripdubby DubtrippinDa dub da dub tripdub. Wah doo Wah doo Waa. This was a great marriage that didn't last long. Mad Professors take on the Protection album is brilliant. It is my favorite remix album of awl time, and favorite Massive attack album ass well Mono Walking Cloud and Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered and the Sun ShinedNeil Young Sleeps with AngelsOne of the best Neil Y albums. The best of his late-middle/early-late career period. Very sonically structurally diverse songs(crazy horse never sounded like sleeves so full of tricks) that come together in a very balanced, lyrically poignant way. You'll hear it's the kurt cobain tribute album. That's pretty oversimplified. This is a deep dark well rounded contemplation of America by the guy who was old twenty years ago when it came out. You're kind of used to Neil being loud and protesty or quiet and thoughtful. Not here. Very unpredictable, trong hypnotic songs. Standouts: Safeway Cart, Trans am, Prime of Life but almost all good.Prince ComeThe Orb Live 93Worth it just for the best version of Little Fluffy Clouds there is, but it's all good. A little quieter and spacier as a whole on the overall spectrum. every song is 10 min plus. "He has a morphine drip inside of his body. Right inside his stomach. They put it right inside his stomach."The The InfectedTricky Pre-Millenium Tension4.0 excellentLeonard Cohen The FutureLeonard Cohen Ten New SongsI love these late middle career L C albums. I like this one just as much as "The Future" which preceeded it. That one was apocalyptically themed. This one isn't (uh, so much). More personal. Great. Solid all the way through. Accompaniments sound like terrible midi tracks--and they're great ha ha. Really do sound good against the voice. "Alexandra Leaving" is probably the standout song, great song.Lou Reed Rock 'n' Roll AnimalMorrissey Viva HateMorrissey Vauxhall and IThe Cure 4:13 DreamThe Orb Peel SessionsI have a different BBC album, but I think it's the same versions as here. What I know is, the best Orb stuff is on Live 93, Orbus Terrarum, the other early ones everybody knows (ultraworld), and the BBC and Peel stuff.3.5 greatLou Reed Magic and LossThis one gets overlooked. Not all the songs are great, but "What's Good" is a great song that got a little ignored being on this album I tink. There are three or four other really good songs. And you get naked down to earth emotion from Lou here.Neil Young Are You Passionate?Everybody knocks this. These are good songs. it's a tight album, not a given for this particular artist. No, Neil Young is not a born doo wop Motown vocalist. But he's a born doo-wop Motown--ish songwriter. I'd say 75-80% of the tracks are very strong in the doo wop romantic love song vein. Good backbeats. Try it out.2.5 averageR.E.M. Automatic for the People
