The choice of words for describing this band... Douche bags. They made a super Christian album and
then denied the claim that they're Christian after releasing an explicit second album. They
admitted to stealing guitar riffs from countless death-metal songs that they threw in their debut
after releasing a huge sound changing second "Generic" album. So let's recap, they basically stole
from the Christian market and plagiarized their first album after getting questioned from
releasing an awful second album. But hell... This album still slays! But I won't support this band
at all.

This album is truly a gem. The best of genres are infused into this album ranging from Post
Hardcore and across the street to Progressive rock(and even a splash of Nu-Metal.) This album was
made in the mid 2000's in which it fortunately avoided the breakdown era of Post hc and is mainly
focused on killer guitar riffs and heart melting acoustics, this album also features 3 vocal
duties which gives great variety of screams and whisper cleans. This album rarely has a dull
moment.

This is one of the most well made albums ever consisting of the infusions of Metalcore, Post
Hardcore, and even trance. If you have come across this by chance please listen to this now for it
is a rarity and a true gem of a genre that has a vast wasteland full of unoriginality and clones.
Enter Shikari Take to the Skies
For Today Portraits
Forevermore Moths And Rust
I'm gonna call this album original (despite the fact they literally sound like August Burns Red) but there is just one thing that separates them from the Metalcore kings and that is the clean vocals. These vocals aren't just your ordinary clean vocals, they're poppy and they're outstanding. This little adjustment takes their music in a step of terrain that has not been done in the scene yet. Combining their serious, melodic, and technical aspects with fun, pop, and catchy bridges while maintaining the seriousness and passion of their music puts this band in a category of itself that no band has ever (in my opinion) achieved without people taking them seriously.

Timing is everything. Back when this gem came out nobody understood the concept but when you listen to any band in the genre today you will come to the realization that Attack Attack!'s selftitled is one of the absolute best attempts of modern "Genericore."

Ghost Town (US) Party in the Graveyard
A pretty damn good album that's associated within a scene that's absolutely disgusting that is
known to spawn bands like 'Blood On The Dance Floor' or 'Brokencyde.' Ghost Town does the best to
create some nice music through a genre that is usually intolerable to listen to. Vocals are great,
they actually implement some instrumentation other than electronics which makes the harsh vocals
flow very nicely and not awkward compared to Brokencyde or Breathe Carolina's earlier work.

Silverstein I Am Alive In Everything I Touch
ugh... Where to begin? The second half of the album blows. The first half is extremely good but some elements still seem rushed. Not a bad album at all but to be followed by "This Is How The Wind Shift" is a huge let down to anyone who was attached to that album like I was.

We Came As Romans We Came As Romans
This is not too bad. Regenerate is a decent track and The World I used To Know in my opinion, is the best song they ever made. But other than those 2 tracks the whole album is just flat out mediocre and I don't even mind the alternative rock shift, they just didn't execute it properly. I want to say that this album is a stepping stone but this is their 4th album and none of their albums have shown potential except their debut album, so I won't give this band the benefit of the doubt of giving us a good album in the future.
