Evergrey The Atlantic
Gareth Coker Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Imminence Turn the Light On
Absolutely excellent metalcore record, filled with interesting musical touches like piano and rviolin motifs shared between tracks which elevate the already excellent traditional rinstrumentation to a new level. rVocals are also extremely accomplished, and guitar riffs are reminiscent of core giants Architects rat times, without sounding like a copy at all. Cool album art too. Absolutely love this record.

When CL are at their best (Devilcry, Agony, Lost in Forever, Apollo), they make the best metalcore music, period (IMO). The brilliance of those songs makes up for the weaker songs, which are quite poor.

Insomnium Anno 1696
For those wishing to delve into the heavier genres of metal music, I can think of no better transitionary record combing more accessible elements with true heaviness. The epitome of the genre .. bringing spades both of melody and death metal... the vocals are almost constantly harsh but never grating, the instrumental music is frequently epic, soaring and evocative. Enjoyed from start to finish. Highly recommended

Why can't more bands do quality remasters of substandardly produced albums just like they did
here ? I would give my left nut if Alter Bridge would remaster some of their less well produced
albums.

The Priest and Maiden influences are painfully obvious, however the execution is so flawlessly
handled, particularly for the band's second release that I'm certain any fans of of old school
heavy metal will find plenty to adore here.Side Note: That album art is awesome

VOLA Witness
Instrumentally, vocally and production wise this is so up my alley it's just about perfect for my tastes. My sticking point is the lyrics.. I can't decide whether the lyrics are pure nonsense or whether I lack the understanding to interpret them. Suffice to say that the lyrics for this band are whack. Sonically though everything here is spectacular.

Ad Infinitum Chapter II - Legacy
Adema Kill the Headlights
Under-rated nu-metal record. This one and done vocalist elevates this project above anything adema ever did before
Alter Bridge Alter Bridge
Alter Bridge The Last Hero
Alter Bridge Walk The Sky
After the hugely underwhelming "The Last Hero" this is exactly what I needed from AB. Still not as essential as Blackbird or AB III, but iterates successfully on the heavier, more commercial style pioneered on "Fortress". I love it, but I don't think this is representative of their true potential. I think they should slow down on the side-projects and come together for longer periods of time to write and record.

Morgan Wallen I’m The Problem
Submersed Grand Illusion Army
My god I don't know what happened here. The first two albums are so good.. this is maybe the
worst thing I've ever heard. I've heard demos recorded on cellphones with better production than
this. The music is awful and the song structures are bizarre and grating. What happened?
Trapt Shadow Work
Fuck Trapt.. I still remember I triggered the "singer" on his bullshit facebook posts years ago when I still did had a profile. Fuck Trapt.
