At the Gates Slaughter of the Soul |
At The Throne of Judgment The Arcanum Order |
I consider The Arcanum Order to be a classic in the deathcore genre. Everything on this album is nearly perfect but unfortunately not a lot of people know about this album. When I wear my ATTOJ hoodie to deathcore shows, people always ask me what band hoodie I am wearing, and I find it annoying. |

You can't say you like deathcore if you never heard this album... |
Despised Icon The Ills Of Modern Man |
Despised Icon Beast |
OMG! - this was my exact reaction when I heard this album. This is exactly what extreme metal
lacks these days. I have no doubt that this will be considered a deathcore classic 10 years from
now, just like The Ills Of Modern Man. Could this be the best extreme metal release of this
decade?
Also, mad respect to these grown men (they're all over 30) for not being afraid to do pig squeals
and for not jumping on the 8 string guitar bandwagon. |
Embrace The End Counting Hallways to the Left |
Best deathcore album ever, the amount of melody and energy is insane. |
Falling Cycle The Conflict |
I think this band deserves way more attention. Most of the songs on these album were written in 2000, a year after the band formed. The song "For Nothing" has to be the first song ever to feature the, now generic, deathcore pull offs and hammer ons. They also used to shotgun cock sound before it was cool. These guys were way ahead of their time and this album is definitely a 5. |

A great mix of new school hardcore and beatdown. This album has one of the heaviest breakdowns known to man. I rate "Heavy/5" . |
Naglfar Vittra |
Now I can see where all the metalcore bands from early to mid 2000's drew their influences from. |

One of the greatest metalcore band ever. BTGC is probably the heaviest record I've ever heard.
"Fuck your bands. Fuck the shit you call hardcore. Fuck your city. Fuck what you believe. Fuck
your fake friends. Fuck your style. Fuck your life. Fuck you. In the end it all means nothing." -
