4.5 superb
Gorillaz Demon Days
Spoon Gimme Fiction
Spoon Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
Spoon They Want My Soul
It may be more "cleaned up" than Spoon's previous efforts, to some fans' chagrin, but They Want My Soul is still a collection of ten wonderful pieces, with the titular track and New York Kiss being especially strong. The album shines both lyrically and musically, and is a worthy addition to Spoon's list of stellar albums.
The Strokes Is This It

4.0 excellent
Broken Bells Broken Bells
Caravan Palace Robot Face
Chance the Rapper Acid Rap
of Montreal Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?
Saint Motel Voyeur
Spoon Kill the Moonlight
Spoon Girls Can Tell
Spoon Hot Thoughts
The New Pornographers Together

3.5 great
ASAP Rocky At.Long.Last.A$AP
Broken Bells After The Disco
Gorillaz Plastic Beach
Though Plastic Beach offers a number of beautiful songs, as a whole it feels less connected, and more forced, than Demon Days. The majority of the songs themselves are quite good, but the album does not weave a subtle narrative as effectively as Gorillaz's second album. That being said, Plastic Beach should not be criticized solely on its inferiority to a previous album. It is still a solid attempt from Albarn, and should be commended as such.
Ninja Sex Party Attitude City
Crass, rude, immature and frustratingly catchy. I hate that I love it. Help.
Portugal. The Man The Satanic Satanist
Saint Motel My Type
Saint Motel succeeds where many indie pop groups have failed in creating a track list that is unique, while still being catchy and fun.
Spoon Series of Sneaks
A rough-cut album that is reasonably effective. Spoon's Raw talent shines through but feels undirected and confused. Despite this, the album still succeeds in conveying the feeling of youthful desperation in an intriguing series of tracks.
Spoon Transference
The Flaming Lips Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
The Strokes Room on Fire

3.0 good
alt-J This Is All Yours
Bleachers Strange Desire
A predictable yet appealing album. There's nothing new in Strange Desires, but it is still enjoyable and the tracks are all reasonably strong.
Broken Bells Meyrin Fields
A passable EP that does not quite live up to the excellence of Broken Bells' eponymous album.
Chance the Rapper Coloring Book
Fitz and the Tantrums Pickin' Up the Pieces
Gorillaz The Fall
The Fall works well as aural art, but not so well as actual music. The tracks fit smoothly together and a common theme is evident. However, on the musicality front, the songs are not very intriguing. The album is littered with experimental noise that doesn't quite sooth the ear in the way previous Gorillaz albums have. It is, in a way, the anti-Plastic Beach. While Plastic Beach felt like a unsure collection of good songs, The Fall feels like an intricate weave of passable music.
Illscarlett EPdemic
Oh Wonder Oh Wonder
The New Pornographers Challengers
The album succeeds in some tracks but ultimately fails in being much more than passable. The music isn't bad so much as... uninteresting. The songs are pleasant but do not make a suitable impact for them to be very effective. An adequate effort but not an outstanding one for The New Pornographers.
The Strokes Angles
Vampire Weekend Contra
Vampire Weekend Modern Vampires of the City

2.5 average
Illscarlett 1UP!
Mother Mother Very Good Bad Thing
A truly mediocre album. Momentarily delightful and instantly forgettable.
