I eventually realised that they are rather repetitive, that they only have one way of expressing their message: float around moodily, scream heart out, and resolve into a misty optimism. Works really well tho, and their transcending genre boundaries thing keeps stuff from getting boring. Objectively, this is not quite a classic, but to hell with that.Opeth Blackwater ParkRadiohead OK Computer"Chip on my shoulder made of silicon. My printed circuit's like a lexicon. Ten billion logic functions maybe more. They make me pick the paper of the floor. Solitary solenoid, terminally paranoid Marvin; nothing left to be enjoyed, every diode rheumatoid Marvin; outer alloy inner void Marvin. Happiness has been destroyed."4.5 superbAnathema We're Here Because We're HereAnathema A Natural DisasterAutechre Tri RepetaeDa dyzmallezt. Kinda like life. Totally like life. 'Gentle Time' has the gravitas to make a brave man go lie face down on a bed, sob hysterically, and hammerfist the pillow dejectedly.
