3.5 great
5 Seconds of Summer Calm
This is actually pretty solid. Takes the Imagine Dragons formula of guitars + big electronic beats but actually makes a decent record out of it. Teeth is about as good of a pop-rock song by a band as you're going to get in 2020.
Avenged Sevenfold Hail To The King

Avenged Sevenfold The Stage
Bastille Wild World
Bastille Doom Days
Beyonce Cowboy Carter
Black Stone Cherry Family Tree
I was thrilled when they announced that they were doing a blues-rock record. The outcome
isn't quite what I had hoped for (they haven't written a decent set of lyrics since Folklore
rand Superstition), but it's a solid listen. First four songs and last couple are the best
rones. Special props to "Carry Me On Down The Road" - awesome 70's southern rock throwback.
Unfortunately, Blackberry Smoke does this style of music better overall.

Surprisingly decent, which makes it Train's best release in 15 years. The channeling of 70s
yacht rock generally works, and the songwriting is actually pretty solid apart from a few
snoozers.

OneRepublic Human
Ryan Tedder hasn't quite forgotten how to write an earworm, but this is a particularly
soulless outing compared to his past work for OneRepublic. It's not without its good moments
(Distance, Someday, Wild Life), but the songs have gotten almost impossibly short, the lyrics
have taken a dive, and the musical curiosity of past albums has largely been stripped here.
