A great calling card, this one, and I hope Mr. Hughes and Mr. Bonham team up again for another one with Mr. Watt-- the only things keeping it short of a 5 is the formulaic stanza-chorus, stanza, chorus ... chorus, chorus songwriting style.rI love this type of hard rock ... a few more longer solos next time, please!

Great song-craft--only a couple of duff moments--and the usual, excellent musicianship delivered by these veteran pop/prog rockers--esp. Ian Crichton on guitar with good riffs followed by excellent solos on every song. This album has a much fresher sound than the almost-formulaic predecessor, 20/20.r

The guitar solos by the new kid, Coulson, are superb but too short in spots--as if fitting a formula--and the riffing is rather tame--Howe's were more aggressive on the last album, XXX.rEveryone plays well and Wetton's voice and lyrics are strong but some of the choruses drag on and the album is just missing some "oomph!"
