Sure, Kanye West has a lot to be bragadoccious about and he definitely has ideas going in his mind (like The College Dropout and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy showcased). But on Yeezus, Mr. West delivers stellar sonic quality with recycled flows, trashy and rushed lyrics, Lil Wayne-level punchlines and mindless metaphors and hyperboles. There's a difference between showcasing the grotesque and making it come to life vivivly. And lyrically Yeezus hasn't got much grotesque stuff going on for it. The only repulsive thing I can find in this record is the lack of quality or passion in Kanye's lyrics on this record.
