I think this is their worst release since 2008's self-titled. That being said... it's still great, it's still catchy and interesting and at times it sounds incredible. It just doesn't have the same... fire (?) and energy that their previous 2 albums have in spades. This is a more paint-by-numbers version of their sound than I was expecting after 'Lore' took their sound to the next level creatively.

A few great tracks ("Crawling in the Dark", "Pieces", "Hello Again") surrounded by a whole lot of generic dime-a-dozen pop-rock. An album that really should be a 2.5 from just about everyone due to how average and generic it is... but it nabs a 3.5 from me simply for nostalgic reasons.

'The Evil Has Landed' is great. 'The Way You Used To Do' has a bouncy charm that is
pretty nice. Love 'Feet Don't Fail Me' and 'Un-Reborn Again'. Everything else on the
album reeks of mediocrity in the same vein as Era Vulgaris. There's nothing here that
sticks out to me the way 'Little Sister' or 'I Sat By The Ocean' stick out as amazing
tracks on their respective albums.

It's a solid release but definitely among their weaker albums overall.

I think this is my least favorite Truckfighters album to date. The riffs seem to have taken a slight turn for the worse. Someone else described it as having a "jam band" vibe, and I think that's fairly accurate. It's enjoyable, but not memorable or revolutionary.

Takes what Heritage did and focuses and improves upon it. If you're looking for heavy, rthere's barely a shred of even semi-heavy guitars on this album. Mikael's voice sounds rbetter than ever, but there's none of his excellent growls to be heard. The first 2 songs r'Eternal Rains Will Come' and 'Cusp of Eternity' are both excellent prog rock jams, but rafter that the creativity and inventiveness completely dies and you're left with nearly 40 rminutes of same-y boring prog wank. Not good prog wank, mind you, but the extremely rmonotonous sort of prog wank.rThe album is decent only because of the first 2 great songs and the overall high level of rmusicianship, but look elsewhere if you want interesting and inventive prog rock/metal. rThis is only a slight step up from Heritage in my opinion, but it's nowhere near as rinteresting or diverse.
