Don't be fooled by the awful cover art, this is top level Flotsam and Jetsam. They're not really
moving out of their comfort zone a lot, but expand on their sound and bring some new elements to
the table. Sounds like a solid mix of Thrash, heavy metal and some power metal with very catchy
choruses and great instrumental work.

That being said, sounds very fresh, new and awesome. A must for every fan of "The Dear Hunter".

For those who like Kreators "new direction" it's definitely not going to be a disappointment,
it's an epic, energetic and melodic yet heavy sounding thrash record with some melodeath
influences. For me as a german the use of german in "fallen brother" somehow makes the song sound
very special and powerful, just a small detail I really liked. For the ones wanting a new 80s
style Kreator record, you'll most likely be disappointed.

Great album, I just love the title track and how it seems to build up in speed and aggression until the beginning of the refrain which is market with the word "down". Gives the song a great feeling and the refrain itself is very catchy and interesting as well.rDarness within which also is being pointed out quite often on the other hand loses a lot of potential with the simple refrain, still it is a good track, but it is not as good as it could've been.

Not much to write here, awesome as always.. ThoughI have to admit that the vocals are sometimes

Obviously this album gets a lot of hate by the "no Jeff/Dave = No Slayer" idiot fraction, but it
certainly isn't close to as awful as they make it out to be, though it definitely is not as good
as their other 3 2000th albums. Yet it still is a decent Thrash record, unfortunately it's also
very short living due to the often dull repetitive and simple song writing. Pretty straight
forward and in your face as well, what more do you want?

I know Exodus fans are sick of hearing it, but Dukes was the right vocalist for this band. There's a lot of great instrumental work on this album, but Gollum on vocals always destroys any bit of enjoyment I get from it.

While I still iked Unto the locust a lot, this record in my opinion sounds so damn much like slipknot it hurts my ears. Game Over is a great example for this, but the refrain is so damn catchy and good it compensates the similarity for that particular song. Game over is a great title, while the rest of the album is sort of okay buy nothing special.

Sylosis A Sign of Things to Come
Tankard A Girl Called Cerveza

Solid riffing and solid solo's here and there, but overall I can't really enjoy it a lot. Tankard take themselves way too serious in this record and the vocal performance is fairly poor for a tankard album.

Testament Dark Roots of Earth
Testament Titans of Creation

It's the soundtrack to a short film/series, not a studio album. The studio album is supposed to come in spring of next year. Rather belongs to "EP's" if you ask me.

It has NOTHING special to it.rListened for it like 3-5 times since it's release and it has nothing that really drives me into it.rTo me it's too monotone and it lacks those really good fast tracks, screaming "fuck" like 6 times each 20 seconds isn't good in my opinion, it just sounds stupid and insanely uncreative.

Some very good and catchy riffs and overall beginnings, then in EVERY SINGLE case I have to

Big fan of the band, probably one of the few that never listened to sonic syndicate, but this album just never worked for me. While the catchy and simple melodies are (probably the biggest) part of their concept, on this album it's been overdone massively.rAfter listening to it for a couple of times I never came back to it. Can't quite explain it, but something that made the first, and now the 3rd album work for me is just missing here.
