Don't sleep on this. If you like The Ocean's Phanerozoic series you will certainly enjoy

choruses and a slight feeling of emptiness and nostalgia. In a 2023 so bland this sticks out
as a gem.

Perfectly mixed 80% Wintersun with 20% Children Of Bodom. Nothing we've never heard before, but definitely a revamped version of the aforementioned bands. Bass is audible and that in my books is greatly appreciated. Riffs and hooks sound fresh and the groovier tracks still hold that hint of darkness in them.

I'm not that much into the Egyptian/Alien thing, but this is worth checking out, technical, aggressive, plenty

Pika didn't even listen to it. The funny thing is that he set his alarm on release date just
to hate on this. In conclusion, pay no heed to Pika, give this a listen, it doesn't top
Impermanence but it's pretty solid. "we ain't 14 anymore yeah" (quoting Pika on the

"think if Erra incorporated more death metal influences (e.g., stronger harsh vocals)
into their sound."

LMAO not at all. This is closer to The Odious or BTBAM in sound that it could ever be to
Erra's metalcore. I can even get some early Contortionist's vibes here.
Anyways, amazing

I've always viewed melodeath as a genre similar to skate-punk: fun, melodic, energetic, and
not really that hard to play.
I hate to disagree with Wayfaerer, but the thing with melodeath is that it can feel stagnant
and somewhat plain to a certain extent. However, that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Quite
the contrary, when a band releases such a fun record, it has to be acknowledged.
Mind you that T.H.E. has released 2 consecutive bangers! No one has been able to pull this
melodies so far, not even new In Flames...
Just relax and have fun with what this has to offer, 20 yrs ago, today, or 20 yrs into the
future!

PS: Thank God for only a couple of Mikael's cleans, mostly on the weakest song (Between
Directions).

I clearly remember how 5 years ago GAME OF METAL told me this band was "2deep4me". Game,
I have to tell you that I finally get this band! Amazingly refreshing release, like
Observer said, you get hints from 2000's Opeth, sometimes I hear some heavy Enslaved
influences and a bit of Amon Amarth's riffin'. I also pick some Machine Head's Blackening
in the mix. All in all is melodeath done right, with some prog elements, haunting cleans
(mildly harsh), heavy and yet melodic riffs. Production is top notch and performance is
stellar. If you like heavy music and all the aforementioned bands give this a listen.

Unto Others Never, Neverland
I kinda miss the heaviness of both Mana and Strength, but I dig a lot of the songs here, very catchy and nostalgic (the goth punk side of this band I guess takes me back to the 80s)... These dudes are talented AF, shame this is just a step below their previous releases.
Vanishing Point The Fourth Season
Vanishing Point Distant Is The Sun
Melodic Power Metal at its best, catchy, not cheesy and uplifting. Let the river run will get stuck in your head for eons.

This kids have an incredible ability to pull melodies out of everything they make. Neatly crafted and curated.
Eidola Degeneraterra
So, just BC Cygnatti told you this is bad, you're gonna go and suck his dick and rate this 1? what a bunch of ass lickers... man Sputnik is gay as fuck, listen to this with your own ears, is nowhere close to a 5, not even a 4.5, but it actually is really good, melodies will stick with you for a while, it's a pleasant listen, way better that a lot of the shit that made it to top 10 for users and staff picks of 2016... rGrow a pair of balls Sputnik fags. Trendy fatfucks motherless worms.

I wish I could get the jokes but I can't and I'm highly disappointed by the "fun" direction the band took with this record.

I don't know... it seems watered down compared to the debut... maybe it'll grow, but I liked their sound less
polished and grandiose... I think the orchestration takes away from the gorgeous guitars...
Tyler, the Creator Flower Boy

2.5 average
In Flames Foregone
I just can't stand Anders' cleans... and seeing him in the vids with his trapping stance makes it even worse...
Intervals The Shape of Colour
I don't think leaving the vocals out was a smart move for this band... they added depth and meaning to the music (see Atlas Hour)... Yup, crucify me now you intervals purists...
Propagandhi Victory Lap
Sum 41 13 Voices
Thrice To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere

2.0 poor
Between the Buried and Me Coma Ecliptic
This sounds so bland and uninspired, I'm 3 spins in, and there's only a few epic moments, and I'm not talking about heaviness...
