The diversity acts as its biggest strength while the production limitations hinder the overall impact of this instrumental opus. Each track feels fresh and excited and adds to the entirety of the piece quite well despite some flaws marring it at surface level. The guitar solos are vibrant and have a quality tone layered uon themselves. They seem to sit atop the mix in a way that draws attention and yields a promising example of what comes on the sophomore effort. The standout track to this album is the six minute centerpiece named "Where In The Hell Did You Get Dem Shoes, Paul?" With a strong yet reserved rhythm section this track explodes into a plethora of guitar solo's and modal expertise. The songcraft is done quite well and each piece seems to be subtly different from the last which keeps things fresh. All in all this is a strong release from a young musician. Self-produced and written and recorded entirely by the composer, this particular piece shines bright for its majority while its murky production faults minority areas too much for comfort at times. 3.0 goodAC/DC Back In BlackBob Dylan TempestMatter Teraphim2.5 averageAC/DC Black IcePink Floyd A Momentary Lapse of Reason2.0 poorNeon Trees Pop PsychologyNeurosis Enemy of the SunPink Floyd The Division Bell1.5 very poorNeurosis The Word as Law
