Kaonashi Dear Lemon House, You Ruined Me: Senior Year
All of Kaonashi's hard work since releasing the Native EP has led up to this moment. Dear
Lemon House... is a compelling reflection of their ceaseless improvement, breathing new
life into a music scene that's often over-saturated by artists who are afraid to try new
things. This album is a magnificent blend of post-hardcore, mathcore, progressive, emo,
and alternative, and is complemented by a wide variety of diverse styles that would be
too long to list. Every member of the band shines on this album, whether it be Peter's
heartfelt lyricism and exceptionally unique vocal style, Alex and Roger's enchanting
guitar-work, August's infectiously smooth bass lines, or Pao's jaw-dropping drum
compositions. Kaonashi's debut album with Equal Vision Records is a must-listen.

Reflections The Fantasy Effect // Redux
An impressive debut from a once unknown progressive metal outfit gets a much-needed
makeover. Buster Odeholm’s production elevates Reflections’ first effort to new heights,
reimagining the juvenile yet nostalgic bedroom-studio sound with modern clarity, crisp
vocals, and well-balanced layering. Subtle and clever musical alterations surprise the
listener throughout, proving that this is more than just an average remaster. Reflections
and Odeholm have given fans what they’ve wanted for the last decade: expert-level production
quality for a fantastic debut marred by studio inexperience.

Shai Hulud Demonstration (Six Songs with Damien Singing)
In celebration of the band's 30th anniversary of existence, Shai Hulud's 1995 Demo has been repackaged with new artwork and a more elaborate title, coinciding with its first-ever official vinyl pressing. These six songs, abound with youthful aggression and technical prowess, have undoubtedly stood the test of time.

Sincerely Yours Acclimate to the Sounds of a Beating Heart
Ridiculously strong debut from very promising Las Vegas newcomers. This is a well-crafted showcase of the nostalgic sounds of the 2000s; if you're a fan of abrasive emo shrieks, dissonant riffs, guttural growls, Drop D chugs, and heartfelt lyricism, you've come to the right place.

Mario Judah Whole Lotta Red (Part 1)
Mario Judah is one of the most promising up-and-coming artists in the popular music scene. His viral and absolutely diabolical track "Die Very Rough" put him on the map initially. Now, we've been blessed with "Whole Lotta Red (Part 1)", a stylistic and titular homage to the upcoming and long-awaited Playboi Carti album. The lead single "Bih Yah" is a complete departure from the Mario Judah we came to know and love, displaying his stylistic versatility and dynamic songwriting.

Oceano Living Chaos
Very solid offering from Oceano yet again. With an appropriate 33 minute runtime, this record doesn't overstay its welcome. Every song hits hard, the production is crisp, and the ambient touches are tasteful. My only minor gripe with this record is the use of trap hi-hats on "Wounds Never Healed." I never understood the appeal of adding an underlying hi-hat track that sounds like a plastic metronome; however, for that to be my only complaint is saying a lot about the overall quality found within "Living Chaos." All in all, nothing here is groundbreaking, but the album remains consistent, proving itself to be a worthwhile listen for any deathcore fans.

Turnstile Never Enough
This is a good entry into Turnstile's catalog. The singles were definitely the strongest songs from the tracklist. The first half of "LOOK OUT FOR ME" was probably my favorite song on here. rThe record focuses too hard on creating "moments" that end up..not being memorable. I admire the attempts at integrating dreamy soundscapes but the execution doesn't really benefit the album. The pacing is annoying. Turnstile will build up songs only to kill the fervor with the interludes. A pesky reminder to the listener to "not forget that this record is different!"rOverall: strong production, great marketing, good ideas, "fine" execution.rEdit: after seeing the film, I'm bumping this to a 3.5; definitely best enjoyed as a visual album. The songs hit harder and the interludes / dreamy bits carry more weight when accompanied by the charming cinematography.

I remember being so excited to hear Kyle Galloway was joining Kingmaker, as I was and still am a massive Lakota De Kai fan, but the mix on this otherwise great album is god awful. Kingmaker, if you're out there, please release the stems for this album and let somebody remix it. With a proper mix, this is a rock-solid 4 all day.

Post Malone F-1 Trillion
Pretty run-of-the-mill modern country-pop record. Post's voice does fit well in this genre but the crystal clear production and aggressive pitch correction doesn't do the record any favors aside from making it sound offensively "clean." The bloated track listing laden with guest features delivers mostly average results with a few standout tracks sprinkled in. This is a very safe record for radio, bars, karaoke, and tailgates; however, I wouldn't go so far as to call it "bad" or "low effort."
Sabrina Carpenter Short n' Sweet
Secret Stairways Enchantment of the Ring
Septicflesh Communion
Shrezzers SEX and SAX
No doubt that these guys are talented musicians, but almost none of these songs are memorable. Yes, it ?sounds? great, but crystal clear production and buttery smooth vocals can?t carry an entire album. That terribly cringe meme song using the PH beat was an instant skip. Just because a pop-djent band uses a saxophone doesn?t make them the best band in the world.
Sleep Token Take Me Back to Eden
Love the beginning and ending segments, the middle was decent but pretty ballad-laden. I wasn't fond of the trap-style sections as they seem to be just randomly tossed in there. Also, wasn't huge on the album's track listing being front-loaded with singles, but I get it for the vibe of the album. Wish they didn't release so many songs ahead of time because I went into it having heard half of the album already. All that aside, this is a really good release.

Starfucker For Crying Out Loud!
FCOL! is pretty standard fare for a 2000s rock/punk album and doesn't propose a strong argument to separate itself from similar artists or warrant much replayability. Through basic songwriting, catchy choruses, and solid instrumentals, this album is best enjoyed as a means to hear two of the Brutus members doing something different in their youth. A fun listen, nonetheless.
Tame Impala Deadbeat
The Acacia Strain Money For Nothing
The Browning OMNI
The production is crisp and the trance/edm elements are fairly well-incorporated into the music, but Omni doesn't merit any replay value. At the end of the day, Omni presents itself as a "fun" album laden with modern -core clichés that would find praise via TikTok reaction videos, and isn't really meant to be taken seriously.

Attack Attack! Someday Came Suddenly
For the Fallen Dreams For the Fallen Dreams
The definitive album of The New Wave of American Butt Rock. Forget Creed, Nickelback, Trapt, or
any of those other bands that your dad used to blare out of his 88 IROC with T-tops when he'd pick
you up from your moms for the weekend visit. It's all about Wage War, I Prevail, and FTFD, to name
a few. Putting it plainly, this album sucks. The songwriting is lifeless, the lyricism is
cringeworthy, and the vocal performance is mediocre, excluding a few decent singing parts on
select songs. This is the kind of album that was written with the sole intention of getting
massive airplay on SiriusXM and vocal covers on TikTok. I have no doubt that every Jeep Wrangler
owner with a 60-month financing plan at 20% interest will be blasting this album with the doors
removed while driving to the gas station to pick up beef jerky, muscle milk, nicotine patches and
Ibuprofen to stomach his bitch wife's complaining about how he never does anything around the
house since he got that new recliner.

Linkin Park From Zero
This album feels like AI-generated radio rock that provides faint glimpses of Linkin Park influence. The songwriting, the lyrics, the production; everything feels so flat and lifeless. This probably would've better served as an EP with the four or five strongest songs and nothing else, but I'm not sure that I could confidently pick out four or five "strong" songs from this tracklist.
