Arcade Fire Reflektor
Arcade Fire Her
An emotional rollercoaster of ballads that perfectly fits an amazing movie. Don't expect the poppy, african-music-influenced, energetic and dancable songs found on the band's previous effort, "Reflektor". "Her" is a refined collection of heart-wrenching ballads. Any superior to "Reflektor"? No, different, but certainly at the same level of quality Arcade Fire constantly display with each move they make.

"(She's A) Universal Emptiness", "Mona Lisa, Mother Earth" and "Jane Mary, Cry One Tear" are
sheer brilliance. Sure, this has filler, like "Saved" and "Remember Who You Are", but it
doesn't keep it from being brilliant at times and overall a great record. It's the Swans

Trophy Scars Hospital Music for the Aesthetics of Language
Hospital Music (for the Aesthetics of Language) is the prime and perfect example of Trophy Scars' sonority as an emo/punk band.
You Can't Win, Charlie Brown Diffraction/Refraction
On "Diffraction/Refraction", YCWCB mature and soothen their sound, remaining consistent and
original but far less experimental and energetic than the band that made "Chromatic". The
combo of first two songs "After December" and "Fall For You" doesn't deliver a first good
impression and pale in comparison to "Chromatic"'s two-first-songs-combo "Over the Sun/Under
the Water" and "Until December". No sign of the hyperactive, infeccious, indie-influenced
and at times spazzic sound the band conveyed in their debut album is to be found in this
effort. "Diffraction/Refraction" isn't by any means a bad album and it does have it's
higlights, but it is a flawed album and a let down compared to it's predecessor.
