Fishmans Uchuu Nippon Setagaya
I've been listening to this record for weeks and I can't get enough. Fishmans' music is hard to come by outside of Japan, but it's worth the search!

Uchuu Nippon Setagaya, consisting of just 8 lengthy songs, carries strong Dub/Jazz overtones laced with mellow guitars, occasional swirling strings, and light electronics. Singer Shinji Sato's vocals have a soft, high-pitched, quirky quality which some may find off-putting, though one can't argue their distinctiveness. Admittedly I haven't really paid much attention to the lyrics as my Japanese isn't too great, but the music itself stands as some of the best 90s alt rock/dream pop to come out of the far east in my humble opinion. If you're looking for for music to just relax and chill out, this album is highly recommended!
