Madvillain Madvillainy
IMO the best produced rap album and the greatest producer-mc duo of all time. The sample heavy beats Madlib puts down are constantly moving, adding subtle elements that keep you hooked for the duration of the album, and are the perfect backbone for DOOM's witty and often very funny bars. Classic from start to finish.

This is easily the rap AOTY. They nail ever banger (Ex: Darling, Don't Cry) and introspective track (Ex: Early) lyrically and El-P's beats are as distorted and complex as ever. The back and forth reminds me of ATCQ because each rapper compliments each other so well. Personally, I feel this is Killer Mike's best work, his charisma is the best in the game and his lyrics have never been so strong.

Way to low of an overall score. The beats are grimy as hell and Black Milk is a dope MC. It's not his best work but still an excellent display of Black Milk's multiple talents

This album takes multiple listens to fully appreciate unlikerSatori, which was immediately satisfying and catchy. The second half ofrConnector feature I the Mighty's best music yet, The Frame I being their best song yet. The album imo blows away Satori once you get to really feel each melody on this album. The Wonder Years The Greatest Generation
The Wonder Years Sister Cities
For me The Wonder Years have always been hit or miss, with TGG and NCTH having some of my favorite pop-punk tracks in the past decade but rarely had the patience to sit through a full album. With Sister Cities, The Wonder Years have stepped their game up considerably in the instrumental department, and Soupy's lyrics and delivery are as passionate and heart-wrenching as ever. Production really brings replay value down for me, however.
