| Although not a whole lot of variances on the album, Allstar Weekend produces a fun and energetic piece. Almost all of the songs contain a synthetic beat and other minor electronic music. The album's most popular song is "Not Your Birthday." The song is a good indicator of what the rest of the album is about: partying every day. The few songs not containing a synth beat and party lyrics are "Teenage Hearts," "Blame it on September," and "Undercover" is a mix between the acoustic guitar sound and the Synthetic beats. The Album is fairly good, but I don't think it's special enough to receive more than a "good" rating. I would suggest "Not Your Birthday, "Do it to Me," and "Teenage Hearts." It's great to jam to if you enjoy it, but isn't especially original. |
