I have been following this artist on bandcamp for a while and was excited when I heard he was signed to Pure Noise, soon to release a full length. This is an extremely emotional album, one of the most of the year in my opinion. He avoids the formula of most acoustic pop punk artists. With much more introspection, the writing allows the listener to feel his emotions. They blend influences in 90's emo, hardcore, and grunge in this new release. 3.5 greatMayday Parade Monsters in the Closet3.0 goodVarious Artists (Punk) Punk Goes ChristmasI think that this is a true redemption for Fearless records and their Punk Goes... albums. It is true that some songs may be boring or formulaic, such as Man Overboard's Father Christmas or The Summer Set's This Christmas. But its nice to hear some variation in other artists' such as, Crown the Empire and Set It Off. Not to mention that many of the songs are originals, like we could stand more covers of classic Christmas songs.
