| I was a big fan of Hopsin's album Raw. Knock Madness is basically not at all the same as that album. In Knock Madness, I like how he combines a lot of different elements and emotions in his songs. He also tries to use comedy in a few of he songs on the album. However, he continues to sometimes force rhymes and some of his lines are just downright corny and leave you scratching your head. Some songs are great like I Need Help, What's My Purpose, Hop is Back, and Old Friend but others should have just been left off the album like Lunch Time Cypher, Jungle Bash, Gimme That Money and Nolle Tre Flip. It seems like he tried to make catchier choruses this time around, some of which worked and some didn't. I see this album as very average and that could just be because I expected a lot out of him and I was disappointed when I listened to the final product. Overall, just a mediocre album. |
