5.0 classic
Black Sabbath Black Sabbath
The darkest Sabbath album and m favorite with Ozzy at the mic. A classic in the true sense of the word. This record shaped the music scene for what it would become. Metal.
Blue Oyster Cult Workshop Of The Telescopes
All the classic Blue Oyster Cult is here. And included are a few live tracks in fact the live version of "Dominance and Submission" is my favorite track off of this career retrospective. If you're new to the B.O.C use this record for your "BOC 101"
Gamma Ray Skeletons & Majesties Live
It's great to hear all of these old Gamma Ray classics. Songs I thought I'd never hear. And to get Michael Kiske out on stage? Wow.
Green Day 21st Century Breakdown
I really enjoy this record. I dare say it's Green Day's most focused album.
Helloween Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part II
Helloween's best record out their entire catalog hands down.
Helloween Treasure Chest
Remixes on classic Helloween songs. what's not to love?
Iced Earth Alive In Athens
An essential metal record and one of the best live metal records ever. The DVD is nice too.
Judas Priest Unleashed In The East
The first CD I ever purchased, I made the money picking blueberries in, well, a blueberry field. That said, this album holds some Nostalgic value for me. But biases aside...This is a great live record! Everything sounds tight and together. And it catches Priest right in their prime...before their 80s prime...Probably the best sounding Priest record. Live or not. Hell, it almost sounds as if parts of this live record were dubbed over in the studio...oh wait.....rFavorite tracks include, seriously, all of them. I cant even pick favorites.
Judas Priest Electric Eye
Almost all of Judas Priest's music videos are here. plus the entire "Priest...Live!" video. It's nice. I enjoyed it.
Judas Priest The Single Cuts (Box Set)
You're getting exactly what you want out of this. There are a few live tracks here that didn't make it into any of the remasters which is nice.rGood stuff.
King Diamond Deadly Lullabyes
King Diamond has one of the finest voices in Heavy Metal and it is wonderfully captured here. His haunting melodies transition to the live stage well.
Kingdom Come In Your Face
By far Kingdom Come's best record and it was ashamedly panned by critics saying it sounded too much like Led Zeppelin. But looking back on this record now it stands apart from Zep, and has damn good songwriting on it. rI love all the songs on the album except one. My favorite song on the record is "Gotta Go"
Megadeth United Abominations
A return to form for Megadeth. I bought this record on a whim because I liked the album cover, And I was glad I did. I grew up with Countdown To Extinction and Peace Sells, none of their records seemed to "do it" for me until this one....This album spawned my fandom for Megadeth. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING DAVE MUSTAINES AUTOBIOGRAPHY
Mercyful Fate Don't Break The Oath
A classic album. Mercyful Fate's satanic metal got a sonic upgrade from their last record onto this behemoth. Stunning album.
Metallica S&M
Motley Crue Decade Of Decadence '81-'91
The remixes these songs are given enjoy the listening experience. It is most well shown on "Live Wire"
Ozzy Osbourne No More Tears
Phil Collins Finally... The First Farewell Tour
Out of all the live albums I have had this is one of the finest ones yet! Every song is given a great live performance and Phil is really singing his best. The highlight for me was the awesome "No Way Out" but other standouts include "Easy Lover", "Something Happened on The Way to Heaven" and "One More Night" the greatest live recording of Phil Collins I have ever heard
Rainbow Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow
Running Wild Masquerade
Running Wild 20 Years In History
Running Wild Live
A great exhibition of Rolf and the Gangs great live presence is captured in this release. All the songs here sound great and I recommend this to be given to someone you want to introduce to Running Wild. Standouts for me include: "When Time Runs Out" "Lead or Gold" and "Under Jolly Roger"
Savage Garden Affirmation
Shinedown The Sound of Madness
Sublime Sublime
Thin Lizzy Live And Dangerous
One of the greatest live records of all time, and my personal favorite. I recommend this album to first time Lizzy-Listeners.
Twilight Force Heroes of Mighty Magic
Absolutely incredible, breath-taking. The single greatest symphonic power metal record I have ever heard. The only weak point is the intro to "Rise Of A Hero" but every thing else more than makes up for it.

4.5 superb
Budgie Life in San Antonio
Darren Hayes Secret Codes and Battleships
Another guilty pleasure record for me. This is a criminally underrated record and what got me listening to Hayes in the first place. The range of emotions that are put into these songs are insane, and Haye's vocals deliver well giving each song a distinct emotion behind it. I really enjoy every song on this one and it's hard for me to pick favorites. Good show, Darren.rFavorites include: Don't Give Up, Black Out The Sun and Cruel Cruel World
Filter The Sun Comes Out Tonight
I Love this album. It is my favorite Filter album. Cant get enough of it even after ive been listening for years. Favorite songs include: We Hate It When You Get What You Want ,It's Got To Be Right Now & Surprise honestly every song on the album is atleast listenable. While not a perfect record by any stretch of the imagination. It is still a stellar release and is the album I use to introduce people to Filter
Gamma Ray Hell Yeah!!! The Awesome Foursome
A great live offering! And a great representation of Gamma Ray's career. I personally prefer Skeletons and Majesties but this is a damn impressive release as well!
Helloween Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part I
Helloween Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy World Tour
Judas Priest British Steel
Judas Priest Defenders Of The Faith
Judas Priest Painkiller
Judas Priest Sad Wings Of Destiny
Metallica Metallica
Michael Kiske Past In Different Ways
Much better than Helloween's "Unarmed" release. These are all songs that Kiske wrote during his time in the band except for the final track. All the songs are well done and produced very well. I recommend "You Always Walk Alone" "Going Home" "Kids Of The Century" and "Longing"
Motley Crue Saints Of Los Angeles
Rainbow Long Live Rock 'N' Roll
Sonata Arctica Ecliptica
Thin Lizzy Jailbreak
Thin Lizzy Thunder and Lightning
Twilight Force Tales of Ancient Prophecies
Incredible! If it weren't for the several spoken word pieces, and the fact that the album is so short, I would say it is a masterpiece. But it's very close.
White Lion The Best Of
If you want a White Lion record you're best bet is going to be this greatest hits collection. It is a damn good collection with two live songs to boot it's a great package.
Y&T Live

4.0 excellent
AC/DC Live
An excellent live album with a great selection of tunes to choose from! rMy favorites off of this album:rMoneytalks, Who Made Who, and Heatseekeer........strange choices? That's why this album is so great! Much like Thin Lizzy's Live and Dangerous album, this record has made bland AC/DC songs far superior in a live setting.
Blue Oyster Cult Some Enchanted Evening
Cinderella Still Climbing
Collective Soul 7even Year Itch
Collective Soul Home (DVD)
Like Metallica's S&M, Collective Soul has decided to add classical instrumentation to their live sound. Soul's music is relatively poppy which makes it easier to translate into classical backgrounds. I really really enjoyed this and it is the first thing I tell people to listen to when Collective Soul is in question.
Dropkick Murphys The Meanest of Times
Ghost (SWE) Infestissumam
This is a very good record. It has a different vibe than Opus Eponymous which is a good thing. This album has plenty to offer for the fans of Rock music and made me a huge Ghost fan.rFavorites: Jiggolo Har Megiddo, Zombie Queen, Year Zero, Monstrance ClockrAlso of note is the epic album intro and title track. It's probably my favorite album introduction
Ghost (SWE) Meliora
Ghost come back in full force for their third album. This album is leaps and bounds above their past two records as far as production is concerned. That may be a turn off for older fans. But I have found that his album is great for introducing people to the band.rFavorite songs include: Pinnacle To The Pit, Cirice, Spoksonat, He Is, and Deus In Absentia
Heaven and Hell Live From Radio City Music Hall
Helloween Chameleon
Ok, let's be honest here. Yes, this is Helloween's least metal record. In fact, this is barely metal at all, only 2 songs sound even close to heavy metal...And I think this bias has led to some unnecessarily harsh reviews. If you past the fact that this isn't a metal record by a metal band, and objectively look at it...it's not that bad...songs like First Time, Crazy Cat, Longing, and When The Sinner are all awesome songs. I throughly enjoy this record but it took me a long time to get into it. In fact....THIS ISNT MY LEAST FAVORITE HELLOWEEN RECORD! I love this album and see it for what is...an experimental acoustic rock record.
Helloween Live In The U.K.
A live record with Michael Kiske on vocals is what any Helloween fan could ask for...It's a shame that this record had to be so short. And didn't include songs that should of been there, Which, wouldnt of been a problewm if it wasnt so short.
Iced Earth The Dark Saga
Iced Earth Days Of Purgatory
Iced Earth The Glorious Burden
Judas Priest Stained Class
King Diamond Conspiracy
What an awesome record! King really outdid himself on this one! I highly recommend it!rstandout tracks include: "At The Graves", "Sleepless Nights" and "Victimized"
Megadeth Countdown To Extinction
Mercyful Fate Melissa
Nirvana Nevermind
Overkill Feel the Fire
Overkill Wrecking Everything
People Under the Stairs O.S.T.
Rainbow Rising
An awesome album! I love the intro for Tarot Woman. It's a great way to open this album. My favorite song here is "Starstruck"
Rush Vapor Trails
Savatage Hall of the Mountain King
Savatage Edge of Thorns
Slayer Show No Mercy
Sonata Arctica For The Sake Of Revenge
Steelheart Steelheart
Theocracy As the World Bleeds
I'm not one to normally give Christian bands a chance...This band is a rare example of a "Christian Metal" group that i can actually listen too. They make sure the music is what comes first. It reminds me a lot of old Edguy at times. Anyway this album in particular is of important note. This album bleeds epicness (pun intended.). Songs like I Am, Master Storyteller, As The World Bleeds, I'm In A Cage are a great mix of epic and melodic. My personal favorite songs on the record are "Nailed" which to this day, Tobias Sammet is kicking himself for not writing. It's got a heavy as hell riff and a soaring chorus. And "The Gift Of Music" which to me, sounds like a perfect example of whatever the hell "Gospel Metal" should be. The vocal melodies and guitar solos are catchy as hell. r|I didn't care for the song "Light Of The World" it sounded like a filler track that was meant to exemplify the over the top power metal stereo type. With it's unnecessarily cheesy lyrics and it's goofy DragonForce-esque "woah-woah-woahs. This song helps me remember why some people don't like Power Metal.rBest songs are: I Am, Nailed, The Gift Of Music, As The World Bleeds and I'm In A Cage
Theocracy Ghost Ship
This is an awesome power metal album. I had heard the single through a Facebook ad and decided to give the band a try. I'm glad I did. I tend to avoid anything Christian related so my level of enjoyment was a surprise. rAwesome guitar work and so many great chrouses. Even though the song "A Call To Arms" is corny the rest of the album is pure class. Songs like Paper Tiger and Castaway are pure heavy metal and Currency In A Bankrupt World and Around The World and Back are great power ballads. THe song "Easter" has, in some parts, a Celtic sound which reminds me of one of my favorite groups Thin Lizzy.rI am listening to this album a lot lately and will probably continue to do so. rFavorite songs include: Paper Tiger, Ghost Ship, Wishing Well, Stir The Embers and Castaway
Thin Lizzy Black Rose A Rock Legend
Thin Lizzy Bad Reputation
Unisonic Unisonic
Not bad, Not bad at all. Although one hears a Kiske-Hansen reunion you're inclined to think Helloween pt.2 this is not the case. It has a steady flow of a almost poppy metal sound while enver overstaying wither side of the genre. Stand-outs include: "Unisonic", "Souls Alive", "Star Rider" and "No One Ever Sees Me" if you are a fan of the older Helloween records you may like this, If you are a fan simply of Michael Kiske you will enjoy this immensely.

3.5 great
AC/DC Back In Black
It's a classic.. There's nothing more to say...or is there? While this is definitely a good record it does have some boring tunes on here. But the other songs make up for them so much that it works. rMy personal favorite track from this is What Do You Do For Money Honey...the guitar work is great
AC/DC Ballbreaker
One of my favorite AC/DC albums, it's definitely in my top 2. A strange sound production is on this album that the band themselves have deemed "Grungy". I don't know if that term really applies, but I enjoy the hell out of this one! Give it a listenrFavorite tracks: Hard As A Rock, The Furor, Caught With Your Pants Down
Asia Alpha
Out of all the Asia records this one has the most of my favorite Asia songs on it. The first
3 tracks of this album are awesome and are among Asia's best work...but the second side of
Alpha doesn't hold up. this gets a 3.5 only because of my biased love for the song "Don't
Cry"
Avantasia The Metal Opera Pt. II
An excellent record and definitely worth checking out. The song Seven Angels may be one of
the greatest songs Tobias Sammet has ever written. Every song stands out and is definitely
worth checking out. so much so that I said it twice! Favorites include: The Seven Angels, No
Return, Final Sacrifice and The Looking Glass
Avantasia The Scarecrow
This album is awesome and tied for my top Avantasia record with "Mystery of Time".rThis album has numerous musical, lyrical, and vocal highlights, so much that each track has something memorable to me. To type them all would be tiring. rFavorites include " Twisted Mind, The Scarecrow, Shelter From The Rain, Another Angel Down, and What Kind Of Love
Avantasia The Mystery Of Time
My personal favorite Avantasia record. The only thing that I'm not a fan of and the thing keeping this record from a 4 is the Pretty Maids singer. It's apparent his parts were written for Jorn Lande. Who should have been on this record. rMy favorites include "When Clock Hands Freeze, Black Orchid, What's Left of Me and Savior In The Clockwork"
Bad Religion New Maps of Hell
I am not a big Bad Religion listener, I picked this record up for an impulse purchase and was very surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It was this record that gave me the respect for them I have now. Great lyrics, but this is to be expected of Greg Graffen (or whatever the singers name is).Favorites include: New Dark Ages, Requiem For Dissent, Dearly Beloved, Honest Goodbye and Murder
Black Sabbath Paranoid
A classic album in the metal world and one I found myself listening to often in my youth...
Black Sabbath Heaven And Hell
What a fantastic record! Certainly the best sounding record with Ronnie. It really sets the dark lyrical tones of Black Sabbath even further, While sounding less dark in the process. This is in thanks to Dio's lyricism. Which if i remember correctly is in the majority if not all of this one. rFavorites include "Heaven and Hell", "Neon Nights" and "Walk Away"
Blue Oyster Cult Heaven Forbid
Budgie The Best of Budgie
Could of had a few more tracks on this, songs such as "Panzer Division Destroyed", "I Turned To Stone", "Wildfire", could have replaced "Parents" as while it may be a decent song, It shouldn't take up a good portion of a "greatest hits". Give it a listen
Cinderella Long Cold Winter
Derdian New Era Pt. 2: War of the Gods
Dream Evil United
Fleetwood Mac Live in Boston (2004)
This show has great sound and is a must own for the Fleetwood Mac fan. Stand outs for me include: "The Chain, "Eyes Of The World", "Big Love" and "Stand Back"
Gamma Ray Power Plant
Great melodic power metal from Kai Hansen, who is heavily responsible for the genre itself. Great record from start to finish. And The Pet Shop Boy's cover is unexpectedly funny and actually works on this record.
Gamma Ray Insanity and Genius
The title says it all here. It is genius and insane. Ralf Scheepers voice was very well captured in this release and one of his finest records. Great writing from Kai as well.
Gary Moore Blues Alive
Helloween Walls Of Jericho
Helloween The Dark Ride
Helloween Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy
The first disc is stellar, classic Helloween. The second disc is mostly filler to me, This album would get a 5 if the album cut off the record with only one disc. Putting "Occasion Avenue, Light the Universe and The Shade In The Shadows" from the second Disc on the first disc and killing off the other tracks from Disc 2 and made it just 1 Disc long.
Helloween Straight Out of Hell
This record trumps all of the records that follow "The Dark Ride". This album got me back into Helloween. There are actually many tracks worth mentioning. "Nabatea", "Burning Sun", "Straight Out Of Hell" and my personal favorite "Years" are classic Helloween.
Iced Earth Burnt Offerings
Iced Earth Night Of The Stormrider
Iced Earth Something Wicked This Way Comes
Jon Oliva's Pain Global Warning
Judas Priest Screaming For Vengeance
Judas Priest Killing Machine
Masterplan Masterplan
Megadeth Youthanasia
Megadeth Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?
Overkill Under the Influence
Ozzy Osbourne Ozzmosis
For Nostalgic reasons, this is my favorite Ozzy Record, it's not perfect, in fact, some claim it's his worst. I disagree, Perry Mason, See You On The Otherside, Old L.A, Thunder Underground are some of Ozzys best material. Even if it stinks of that "modern rock" sound, it is still an enjoyable listen.
Pepper Kona Town
An awesome effort by Hawaiian based band Pepper. This is my favorite of theirs and my personal favorite in this particular genre of music. My favorite track here is a tie between "Face Plant" and "B.O.O.T"
Quiet Riot Metal Health
Rainbow The Very Best Of Rainbow
Riot Fire Down Under
Roky Erickson The Evil One
Running Wild Death Or Glory
Rush Snakes & Arrows
This is another one of these albums that I buy just for one song and enjoy the rest of the record, while still not as much as the track I bought it for. The one i'm talking about is "The Larger Bowl" my favorite Rush song
Savatage Streets: A Rock Opera
Thin Lizzy Chinatown
Thin Lizzy Life
A great live album! But it should only be reserved for Thin Lizzy die-hards. (Such as myself) The best part about this record is it's extensive set list from all over the bands career. And it's great to hear Whiskey In The Jar.rI recommend: "Renegade", "Hollywood", "The Sun Goes Down" "Jailbreak" and "Are You Ready"
Transglobal Underground Impossible Broadcasting
Transglobal Underground Yes Boss Food Corner

3.0 good
Adam Lambert For Your Entertainment
A good pop record. I tried to get past Adam Lambert's dreadful album cover and camp personality to really listen...and i must say i'm impressed. Granted, that's only because I was expecting so little.rTheir are alot of great melodies here that will stay in your head. rFavorite tracks: For Your Entertainment, Fever, Aftermath and Time For Miracles.
Alice Cooper Alice Cooper's Greatest Hits
Another nostalgic record for me. It does a great job of representing Cooper during his 70s and early 80s.
Astral Doors New Revelation
Pretty impressive guitar work here, Just another Power Metal album but what makes this different is the singer sounds an awful lot like Dio at times. Ever wanted Dio to play power metal? now you can hear it. rStandouts for me include: "Pentecostal Bound" and "Planet Earth"
Avantasia The Metal Opera
Awesome power metal band and record. This is the first record by Avantasia and has some
amazing melodies and guitar work, which is characteristic of Power Metal. The guest singers
are very well matched in the songs they were assigned with. Michael Kiske (Ernie for those
not-in-the-know) outshines every vocalist on this particular record and his contributions
are among my favorites off this record. which include: "Reach Out For The Light, Farewell
and The Tower"
Beast Beast
This is a very unique almost "trip hop" sounding record. my personal favorite song is "Satan"
Blue Oyster Cult On Your Feet Or On Your Knees
Budgie Never Turn Your Back on a Friend
Budgie's biggest selling record...didn't sell relatively well. This is a great find for people who want to get to the real roots of metal music. This is as previously mentioned Budgie's best selling record. (Mostly in part to the track "Breadfan") and for good reason. The rest of the album is solid. This is a must for collectors.rFavorite tracks include: Breadfan, In The Grip Of The Tyrefitters Hand and Riding My Nightmare
Budgie You're All Living in Cuckooland
This was a band that I did not expect a reunion. I don't know if anyone did...But i'm glad it happened. While this record didn't introduce anything groundbreaking musically, it did see Budgie try out new sounds and it comes off as a strange, but relatively enjoyable record. rFavorite song is Falling
Darren Hayes Spin
A stellar pop record. Darren Haye's debut record is very well put together, both musically and production wise. There are alot of catchy hooks on here that will have those people who dig 90s pop (for some reason) a good listening experience. Favorite Tracks are Like It Or Not and the albums title track.
Deep Purple Fireball
Hearing this album again takes me back to my childhood. Nothing bad on this one, standouts are the title track, anyones daughter, no no no, honestly the whole album is solid.
Derdian New Era Pt. 1
Dropkick Murphys Blackout
Edguy Space Police - Defenders Of The Crown
This record surprised me. I thought it was going to continue the trend of weak Edguy releases that have been happening the past few years. This is much better than Rocket Ride, Tinnitus Sanctus, and Age of The Joker. While it doesnt quite match up to their older material, This was a decent listen.
Ghost (SWE) Opus Eponymous
The best thing about this record is the image, the music is nothing ground-breaking. But it has so many choruses that get stuck in your head that it makes the music stand on it's own. rFavorites include: Ritual, Elizabeth
Helloween Pink Bubbles Go Ape
I'm a huge Helloween fan, even this album, It's not their best, it's not even their best effort. The band was creatively fractured at this point in time and it shows from the lackluster "Soulless" performances. But I have a biased love for this band...Kids Of The Century, Number One, Mankind, Someone's Crying, The Chance, Your Turn...all classics to me. But it's not the power metal sound that Helloween was known for. It sounds more like groovy hard rock...Not there best, but not their worst. I recommend it.
Iced Earth The Blessed And The Damned
Judas Priest Angel Of Retribution
Judas Priest Sin After Sin
Judas Priest Ram It Down
Judas Priest Point Of Entry
Judas Priest Epitaph
It's difficult to watch/listen to Rob Halford's voice slowly decay. He may be in top form here, but this is due to studio editing. Don't get me wrong it's not completely bad it does have it's moments. the highlight of this release is the live rendition of "Blood Red Skies" which shows Rob in high form. Every other song sounds tired. Especially Heading out to the Highway. A good pick up for Priest die-hards. But not a good way to introduce someone to Priest
King Diamond Give Me Your Soul...Please
Tolerable. That's the word that comes to mind when I hear this record. It's nothing spectacular...but it's not bad. I would only recommend this to King die hards.
King Diamond A Dangerous Meeting
Megadeth So Far, So Good... So What!
Metallica Garage Inc.
Michael Kiske Instant Clarity
This album sounds like a slightly edgier "Pink Bubbles Go Ape". Nothing special here. My favorite song off of the record is "Always" but there are other good songs too like "Time's Passing By", "New Horizons" and "Be True To Yourself"
Michael Kiske Readiness to Sacrifice
Not a bad attempt from ex-Helloween's Michael Kiske. I enjoyed it.rStandout tracks include: "Watch Your Blue", "Philistine City", "Out Of Homes" and "Shadowfights"
My Chemical Romance The Black Parade Is Dead!
Oliva Raise The Curtain
Overkill Taking Over
Overkill Immortalis
People Under the Stairs ...Or Stay Tuned
Phil Lynott Solo in Soho
Primal Fear New Religion
Often heralded as Primal Fear's worst record. But it is my favorite.
Quiet Riot Rehab
Rainbow Down To Earth
stand out tracks:r"All Night Long"r"Since You've Been Gone"r"Danger Zone"
Riot Narita
Running Wild Resilient
Savage Garden Savage Garden
Thievery Corporation Radio Retaliation
I like this record, but it suffers from having too many tracks i'd skip. A really great sound though. It's produced well and has a great vibe and prominent cultural influence in the sound. Not their best effort, however.rFavorites include, Sound The Alarm, Radio Retalliation, Hare Krishna, Mandala
Thin Lizzy Johnny The Fox
Sandwiched between the Lizzy Classics: "Jailbreak" and "Bad Reputation" came a pretty solid album. Filled with all kinds of crazy emotions mixed in with it's rock n roll. My favorite song from this record is "Borderline".
Thin Lizzy Nightlife
Transglobal Underground International Times
Unisonic Light of Dawn
This album is a strange one, It doesn't flow as well as the previous, but it's songs are so good that they can stand on their own and don't necessarily need to flow.rThis album didn't hit me as hard as Unisonic's debut and took me repeated listens to get into. But in the end it proved to be a good listen.rFavorites include: Your Time Has Come, Find Shelter, For The Kingdom and Blood

2.5 average
AC/DC Powerage
This album...is kind of weird to rate, as it has my favorite ACDC song of all time on it. But the rest of the album doesn't compare to that one song, to me...rMy favorites off this album are Kicked In The Teeth and Sin City, with Rock And Roll Damnation being the ultimate AC/DC song and my personal favorite.
Asia Asia
Asia is a guilty pleasure of mine. I like this record and probably always will. I'm not going to mention Heat of The Moment in this...oh shit...that song aside Only Time Will Tell and Wildest Dreams remain classics to me as well
Avantasia The Wicked Symphony
A good Avantasia record...but for me, I feel like these songs would be pretty bad if the guest singers weren't on them. Something that past Avantasia records didn't have too big of a problem with...that point aside there are awesome songs on here!rFavorites include: "Wastelands, Forever Is A Long Time, and Dying For an Angel"
Avantasia Angel Of Babylon
Mad props to Tobias for getting Jon Oliva on this record! His song "Death is Just A Feeling" shines amongst an album with very little else to offer.I feel that they threw this record together to make some extra cash. rFavorites include "Stargazers, Promised Land and the aforementioned "Death Is Just A Feeling"
Avantasia The Flying Opera - Around The World In Twenty Days
It's Avantasia live! So, it's good! However, I feel they waited to early to release this, as the tracklist is sparse with classic Avantasia and it wasn't until later releases did they make enough epic tunes for a 'real" setlist.rI must note, the lack of Michael Kiske is sad because his replacement Andre Matos doesn't do his parts justice. But i'll let it slide since Kiske is such a hard act to follow.
Barenaked Ladies Rock Spectacle
While this is a good sounding live show and well produced record, I am not particularly a fan of the Barenaked Ladies, but I grew up with them, and this record. Favorites are Brian Wilson, Old Apartment and If I Had A Million Dollars.
Budgie Power Supply
While this particular record sort of strays from the Budgie sound that precedes it, Power Supply gives a fresh new edge to Budgie's sound...sort of. The problem with this record is there's not much to memorable on it. Nothing that stands out amongst the Budgie discography. Best track on the album for me was Panzer Division Destroyed.
Darren Hayes The Tension And The Spark
Darren Haye's Tension and The Spark has darker lyrical undertones and many monotonous electronic sounds throughout, There are good songs, in fact most of them are great. But I can't help but feel that these songs had the potential to be much better. rFavorite tracks: Unlovable, Void, I Like The Way, and Darkness
Derdian New Era Pt. 3 - The Apocalypse
Dream Evil Gold Medal in Metal
This "live" album has alot of the studio recordings of songs overdubbed. Especially the
material from the United album. I can't help but feel this album would of worked better if
they called this a "re-recorded" album.....
Gamma Ray Land of the Free II
Not their best, in fact, it may be one of their worst. I got to see Gamma Ray on the tour for this record and they played a killer set. My favorite song from this record is "Empress"
Helloween Better Than Raw
Helloween Gambling with the Devil
Helloween Unarmed
Iced Earth Horror Show
Iced Earth Framing Armageddon
Judas Priest Turbo
Judas Priest Rocka Rolla
While most of this record is garbage, the tracks that ARE good, are really, really good. examples include "Cheater, Never Satisfied and Rocka Rolla. The best song however is Run Of The Mill. Not just the best on the record, But one of the best Priest songs ever composed. If you listen to this record make absolutely sure Run Of The Mill is played.
Masterplan Aeronautics
Megadeth Capitol Punishment
Mercyful Fate The Beginning
My Chemical Romance The Black Parade
Overkill White Devil Armory
I'm a huge Overkill fan. This record didn't do much for me. While not their worst record, it's definitely not up to par with their older material. Or, recent material for that matter. I do throughly enjoy the song "Down To The Bone" however.
Pretty Lights Filling Up The City Skies
Excellent...at first....but i don't know maybe it's the genre as a whole for me, but this record gets old really fast and I have lost almost all interest in it. But I will give it a few points because I used to love this record.
Savatage Gutter Ballet
Slayer God Hates Us All
Slayer World Painted Blood
Sonata Arctica Ecliptica - Revisited: 15th Anniversary Edition
The Smiths Meat Is Murder
Theory of a Deadman Scars and Souvenirs
Thin Lizzy Renegade
Transglobal Underground Rejoice Rejoice

2.0 poor
Arlo Guthrie Alice's Restaurant
Light up a joint and have a humorous listen. It's fantastic the first listen and slowly fades after each consecutive listen.
Asia Astra
Not up to par with Asia's debut this album gets little attention, but it's not bad. Go and Too Late are good songs and are my favorites from this.
Black Star Riders All Hell Breaks Loose
I really, really wanted to like this album, I tried to force myself into listening to it over and over until I liked it, And that didn't work...I wont get those hours of my life back...you can spare yourself too if you want. Not only is this Thin Lizzy's touring members making a new band, Not only did no one know what to expect, Not only does it not live up to what little expectations people had...itrs just unimaginative. It tries real hard to sound like modern day Thin Lizzy and fails.
Blue Oyster Cult Tyranny and Mutation
This music...I don't know how to describe. I mean yeah, it's classic rock, and yeah it's that typical BOC sound, But something about this album puts me off. Maybe it's the weird song titles, I don't know. rFavorite song is O.D'd on Life Itself
Darren Hayes This Delicate Thing We've Made
A 2 disc long pop "concept album" (if you can call it that) are strange things. This record is no different, It's an exhausting 2 hour listen, and it's overwhelming. But if you can stomach repeated listens, you will find that there is atleast an hour's worth of good material. rThe album is just awkward sonicly, if that makes sense. However there are plenty of good songs to be heard here, the problem is there's even more that is clearly filler, (insultingly so.)rIf it were half the length this would be a great record. I would make the album like this:rWho Would Have Thought, Sing To Me, The Only One, The Great Big Disconnect, Lions Heart, Something Wonderful, Maybe, Lucky Town, Words, I Just Want You To Love Me, and Setting Sun. rthese are the songs that I feel don't sound like BLATANT filler. rIf I were to rate for just these songs i'd give it atleast a 3.5. But there's so much bs you have to sit through to get to the good songs that it will ruin the casual listeners experience. rFavorites include: The Only One, Maybe, Setting Sun
Derdian Limbo
Heaven and Hell The Devil You Know
Another reunion album that didn't need to happen. This album is full of stereotypical sabbath sounds and Dio's great vocals. But it falls victim to having not one "fast" paced song making the whole album a slow to mid-paced experience. I'm sure this was a cash in attempt that worked. Hell, I bought the record myself...Favorite tracks include: Bible Black and Rock N Roll Angel
Helloween The Time Of The Oath
Helloween Master Of The Rings
Helloween Rabbit Don't Come Easy
Helloween My God-Given Right
I was very excited for this album...Just to be terribly disappointed. I only found two songs worth
mentioning and one of which was the single...."Battle's Won" and "Creatures In Heaven" were the
only ones I found tolerable. Every other song was rubbish...Did anyone else catch that the vocal
melody for the song this album is named rips off an older Helloween song called "Power"? I guess
its not ripping off per se since it's the same artist but...anyway...this album sucks.
Iced Earth Iced Earth
Iron Maiden A Matter Of Life And Death
Judas Priest Jugulator
Judas Priest Nostradamus
Michael Kiske Kiske
I don't know what to say. Apparently this record was about Kiske being artistically free. There are good songs though, "All Solutions" and "Sad As The World" come to mind. I like Kiske, but this album isn't for just any one. Only Kiske hardcore fans need apply.
Nickelback Dark Horse
Phil Lynott The Philip Lynott Album
Quiet Riot Condition Critical
Running Wild Under Jolly Roger
Rush Feedback
Outside of "The Seeker" there's not much good going on here.
Steelheart Good 2B Alive
I didn't know what to expect from this album and yet it left me disappointed. The songs have a very industrial sound to them. r"Samurai" and "LOL" are good songs though.
Thin Lizzy Thin Lizzy
Thin Lizzy's first record is not a good glimpse into what they were going to become. Most of this sounds like acid-ridden jam sessions. It's a good record for sitting in a chair and chilling out, maybe with a glass of wine and a lady. rI recommend: "Ray Gun" and "Look What The Wind Blew In".
White Lion Return of the Pride
Nothing much here. It's a watered down glam metal sound. Down-tuned and uninteresting. it is not going to have the melodies stuck in your head. But there are good songs here. My personal standouts include: "Live Your Life", and "Finally Seen The Light"

1.5 very poor
AC/DC Black Ice
A piss-poor AC/DC record that only existed to try and attempt to make AC/DC relevant again in the 2010's. And what a poor attempt it is! I'm only adding .5 to my rating because I honestly like "Rock n Roll Train" enough to put it in my essential AC/DC tunes "list".rThere is a really good Dance Remix of the song, which I find just as good as the original. IT'S THAT BAD.
Black Sabbath 13
This is garbage. Just a bunch of talented ol' Brits trying to re-do past glories to catch some extra greenbacks. Avoid this record like the plague if you are a die-hard sabbath fan
Judas Priest Demolition
Musically this record is very eclectic, spanning numerous sub genres all within the confines of one album, I feel this backfired however because most of the songs on here are total garbage. "Machine Man" is the only song I can honestly say I enjoyed hearing.
Masterplan Novum Initium
Masterplan needs a different singer. I can't stand his voice. I will say Roland Grapow is still making quality music and playing some interesting guitar. Just get a better singer. Or atleast a different sounding one.
Overkill W.F.O.
I just can't get over the horrible mixing on this record. Not only that, but the songs are lackluster at best, to me atleast...I don't know a part of me feels this record was forced. It sure sounds like that...I honestly can't recommend any song on this record to anyone. But it's Overkill so i'll give it .5 for that.
Running Wild Shadowmaker
It's a sad thing to see a reunion album fail so miserably. Thankfully Rolf Kasparek decided to tone down on the digitized sound a little bit and gives us instead a steaming pile of unimaginitve bullcrap. rThe only song I found tolerable on this record was Shadowmaker
Savatage The Wake of Magellan

1.0 awful
AC/DC Rock Or Bust
Yet another piss-poor release from the once glorious AC/DC. I thought they couldn't stoop any lower than Black Ice, but I was mistaken. All of these songs sound forced and unimaginative. Nasty for my ears
Helloween 7 Sinners
Ozzy Osbourne Down To Earth
Ozzy Osbourne Under Cover
Riot Nightbreaker
Running Wild Rogues En Vogue
The worst Running Wild record, filled with a heavy "digital" sound. The only track that makes up for the horrible production of this record is "The War" which I honestly recommend.
Thin Lizzy Shades of a Blue Orphanage
I did not enjoy a single song on this record. And I'm a big Thin Lizzy fan. The only song I could even manage to hear all the way through was "Call The Police" and even that wasn't very good. Stay far away from this album
