It sounds ferocious without coming across as misguided and scatterbrained, and is undeniably catchy without the cringe-worthy, whiny vocals of some of its other post-hardcore contemporaries. |

There is not rany wasted notes here, and the members of Down have some of their best moments of their entire careers here. rFrom the all-out metal stomp of Temptations Wings to the intense sludgy burn of Bury Me In Smoke, NOLA rproves the old philosophy that less really is more. If this sounds like a very long-winded, over-dramatic rexplanation as to why I love this record, you'd probably be right.
