Bjork Homogenic
One of the few albums that I can say changed my life at first listen, from the powerful, electronic march of
Hunter all the way through to the soothing, hypnotic dreamscapes of All Is Full Of Love, this album defines
perfection in every way possible. Nothing less than an essential classic.

A Perfect Circle Mer de Noms
A Tribe Called Quest The Low End Theory
Alanis Morissette Jagged Little Pill
Alexisonfire Watch Out!
Alexisonfire's 2004 sophomore record "Watch Out!" stands as one of the best melodic-hardcore records I've ever listened to. Literally every instrument and voice on here impresses and inspires, fitting together with purpose and without any faux-wankery. It sounds ferocious without coming across as misguided and scatterbrained, and is undeniably catchy without the cringe-worthy, whiny vocals of some of its other post-hardcore contemporaries.

Wow this record is so much worse than White Pony and just boring, I mean the only good tracks on here are Hexagram, Needles and Pins, Minerva, Good Morning Beautiful, Deathblow, When Girls Telephone Boys, Battle-Axe, Lucky You, Bloody Cape, Anniversary of an Uninteresting Event and Moana, but seriously that's about it the rest sucks

Down NOLA
What separates NOLA from other riff-centric metal albums is that every riff ACTUALLY MATTERS. There is not rany wasted notes here, and the members of Down have some of their best moments of their entire careers here. rFrom the all-out metal stomp of Temptations Wings to the intense sludgy burn of Bury Me In Smoke, NOLA rproves the old philosophy that less really is more. If this sounds like a very long-winded, over-dramatic rexplanation as to why I love this record, you'd probably be right. Just do yourself a favor and go listen to Down's rNOLA, it'll make you grow hair on your chest.

Foo Fighters Sonic Highways
While the concept is admirable and unique, this will not be remembered as one of the band's best works. The Foos are still at their most engaging and powerful when writing simple, catchy, and upbeat rock (I.e. I'll Stick Around, My Hero, All My Life, Everlong, etc.), and they shouldn't be afraid to embrace that since they do mainstream rock better than 99% of the bands out there today.
