| The more I listen to this album, the more I start to understand the concepts and ideas Adrian had in mind. This is such a spiritually empowering album that will deeply resonate with you if you are on a journey to enlightenment yourself whilst also into the metalcore genre. rThis album has a very dark vibe to it in contrast but executes it very well. Instrumental musicianship is also superb. Although not super technical or progressive, the synergy between the two guitarists flows very naturally and definitely hits hard with balancing melody. Drums are superb as well.rThis album engages a part of me emotionally in a special way that no other album has ever touched. It covers the problems of everyday life, the want to power through struggles, the balancing beauty and corruption of life (such as ying/yang) and the government, thus spiritual awakening to live life to it's fullest. For years, I could not understand the hype over this band, but finally this year I have realized it. It's constantly on replay wherever I go. Currently covering Abrasumente on my new 7 string guitar now too! Very rare to find bands that are "awake" in this generation which makes Northlane a definite golden discovery. |
