5.0 classic
Against Me! White Crosses
Aware of the argument for this album being bad due to its glossy production and its departure from "Reinventing Axl Rose"'s style. However, this album was the soundtrack to my sophomore and I couldn't get enough of it. Personally I feel that the only bad song is "Suffocation". I would honestly rate it a 4.5 but I gave it a 5 in attempt to boost its average.

Pearl Jam Ten Redux
The remixing/remastering is incredible. It brings a rawer presentation of Ten, something the band has always regretted; overproducing their debut. Almost every single track sounds better with this stripped down mix. It definitely breathed new life into an album that I've heard 1,000 times.
Polar Bear Club Sometimes Things Just Disappear
Polar Bear Club The Redder, The Better
gets a 5 despite "Resent and Resistance" being the weak link. The rest kicks ass though

Entire album about police brutality and the failed state of Amerikkka. Way ahead of its time. Instant Classic
Temple of the Dog Temple of the Dog
The Cure Disintegration
wtf was I thinking not 5'ing this? This is one of the best albums of all time, and if THAT doesn't make it a solid 5, idk what does. Nothing on here is bad, not even "Lullaby", which is probably the one I'm most inclined to skip.

Totally underrated/underreviewed album on here. I like that somehow Hause demonstrates a total original sound yet still wears his influences on his sleeve.

Elliott Smith Elliott Smith

The level of consistency Foo Fighters have amassed is incredible. Tracks 1&5 are the highlights I think, with 4 being the only weak track. Great little surprise from our FF friends. Sputnik is too hard on FF for the most part, I believe.
Foo Fighters The Colour and the Shape
Free Throw Those Days Are Gone
Funeral Suits Lily of the Valley
Damn, I'm really upset that this album does not have any love rI'll admit that not all the songs I can get into, but "We Only Attack Ourselves" is amazing as is "Hands Down".

Rethinking this as a 5, the production is a little thinner than I remember, feel like there is only room for one old-school REM record, and that rating should go to Reckoning.
Radiohead The Bends
Real Friends Everyone That Dragged You Here
Real Friends Maybe This Place Is the Same and We're Just Changing
Rise Against Siren Song of the Counter Culture
Would be "Classic" for the sheer energy, emotion, and songwriting, but the production causes it to fall slightly shy.rThe guitar tracks sound "spongy", the vocals are buried on many tracks, and the album comes off as unfinished in spots, such as the closer "Rumors Of My Demise..." which is anthemic yet sounds somewhat unfinished based on its complete lack of lead guitar and lack of interesting bass lines.
Rise Against The Sufferer and the Witness
Rise Against Join the Ranks

Very informative and a great song to base an EP around. B-side "About Damn Time" kicks ass as well, and should have been on the full length album.

Hagar Schon Aaronson Shrieve Through the Fire
Underrated, lost gem from from the mid-80s. One of the first rock 'supergroups' of all time, and quite a transitional album from 70s hard rock to 80s arena rock. Highlights include the 1-2 opening tracks of "Top of the Rock" and "Missing You"?two early indicators of Hagar's imminent future tenure in Van Halen?a cover of Procol Harum's ballad "Whiter Shade of Pale", and the penultimate track "He Will Understand", which contains one of the most interesting riff's I've ever heard.

If it weren't for those awfully contrived "emotional" moments on the record (Where the music drops out and it's the singer putting on this performative wavering voice), I'd've given this a 4.5.

Although this is a musical classic, a staple of 80's alternative music, the lyrics are a little too repetitive to garner any higher than a 4.

The Weakerthans, Lite. Good, though. The atmosphere is pleasant; can definitely see this music accompanying me almost

Not the same PBC but not bad either. Production is great. Guitar, bass and drum tones are tight. Jimmy's vocals are different but genuinely not bad. I'm under the impression the album was written to be sung like Sometimes Things Just Disappear, but the gruffness was no longer there, replaced with clarity and a higher range.

Neutral Milk Hotel In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
I hardly say this about music, but I sincerely think people who rate this highly trying damn hard to like this. Nothing about this record has aged well, the purposeful lo-fidelity production, the singer's creepy and very illegal obsession with Anne Frank, and the repulsive, grating vocasl.
Nickelback Dark Horse
Post Malone Stoney
After listening to some of this and some of his interviews, I think we should leave cultural appropriation to...well...nobody.
The Story So Far Under Soil and Dirt
This record is same-y and slut shame-y garbage pop-punk that I wish I never paid second thought to back in high school. Another record I'm ashamed to have put so highly in the past.
