Originally a 4. But that's the beauty of a superb album, it'll keep you coming back for
more. Every song on this album just pours emotion out of your headphones, with songs ranging
from heart pounding rock, to orchestral journeys to minimalist introspective numbers. Andy
Hull is one of the best lyricists I've had the pleasure of listening to, a must listen
record if I've ever heard one. My highlights are Apprehension, Pensacola, Simple Math and
Leave it Alone.

Liars Liars
Liars Mess
Liars continue down the electronic path while bringing back they're aggression (in a similar way to Brats from WIXIW). Liars keep their innate creepiness and it's what sets them apart from most. I'm No Gold, Pro Anti-Anti, Can't Hear Well and Left Speaker Blown stand out tracks.

Didn't reach the heights of Simple Math, but an enjoyable record which states it's intentions from the second you press play; 40 mins of in your face rock.
Metric Old World Underground, Where Are You Now
Metric Grow Up and Blow Away
One of Metric's biggest flaws, for me, is that their albums have too much filler. Fortunately this album is far more consistent than most of their later work, with tracks ranging from melodic synth, introspective numbers and even quite poppy tracks. If you missed / disregarded this album, like Metric themselves did, you'd be poorer for it as a Metric fan.

Real Estate Days
The first track says it all, an 'Easy' listen if there ever was one. Not to trivialise Real Estate's work, the vocals seamlessly flow over the hypnotic guitars throughout the entire record. 3.7/5
Real Estate Atlas
Run the Jewels Run the Jewels 2
Slowdive Souvlaki
An ambient adventure that colours the room with mesmerising electronics, strings and guitars, the vocals amplify the dreamy nature of this album. Only complaint is that can be almost droning at times, but otherwise a greaat album. 'Alison', 'When the Sun Hits' & 'Altogether' are standout tracks.

While there are forgettable songs, it's easy to see why this is regarded so greatly. A great blend of rock, country and blues making for easy and enjoyable listening. Dreams, Go Your Own Way, Songbird, The Chain & Oh Daddy are recommended listens.
