5.0 classic
Bluetile Lounge Lowercase
Being somewhat of a veteran to Slowcore, I find Bluetile Lounge to make the most beautiful music out of the genre's stalwarts, namely Codeine and Low. Everything is quiet, still, yet reaching spacey crescendos mid-song, without veering into harsh distortion. Lowercase is truly a classic within the genre, a dreamy trip through space.rRecommended for anyone who likes Codeine and Galaxie 500.
Eyehategod Dopesick
The third album from misanthropic sludge metal stalwarts EyeHateGod, Dopesick is the pinnacle of hatred in music. Mike William's vocals are tortured, and rough like harsh noise.
Eyehategod Take as Needed for Pain
The best of NOLA misanthropic sludge, EyeHateGod's second album reeks of hatred and contempt. And it's
amazing.
Kyuss Welcome To Sky Valley
Great for everything. Walking to school? Sky Valley. Getting stoned? Sky Valley. Driving fast? Sky Valley. With
every song melding perfectly into each other a la progressive rock, Kyuss manage to create a stoner
masterpiece, with hints of neo-psychedelia.
Miles Davis Kind of Blue
Hands down, the best Jazz album in existence. Trumps Coltrane, Monk, or Byrd. rNothing beat's "Blue in Green" driving at night.
Thergothon Stream From The Heavens
Putting history aside, Thergothon layed down the framework for funeral doom. Without them, we wouldn't
have Loss, Skepticism, or Mournful Congregation and such. Super slow, piles of effects and guttural vocals.
Definitely a classic of the most depressive genre of doom. Feel the pain.

4.5 superb
Codeine Frigid Stars
Slow, depressed, but not outright about it, and self-loathing to the max in Frigid Stars, Codeine's debut album. Nasal vocals, reverb-loaded guitars, and a claustrophobic rainy day atmosphere. Truly awesome.
The Casualties For The Punx
Great, fast, bordering on metal, hardcore street punk, Casualties style. You can feel the anger in the screams, shout along to the punk love anthem "Punk Rock Love", break shit to "Riot", and hit the city to "Punx and Skins". rRecommended to anyone into early Black Flag, Heroin, and GBH.

4.0 excellent
High on Fire Death Is This Communion
Matt Pike's guitar genius extends far beyond his work with Sleep, a point proven by Death Is This Communion. With droning, stoned compositions, harsh vocals, and a pummeling sense of rhythm, High on Fire manage to craft mythological songs of war. rI highly recommend it to people into stoner metal.
Orchid Chaos Is Me
A fusion mix of emo, screamo, powerviolence, and grindcore, Orchid crafted a unique sound from the extreme subgenres they liked, and made one blisteringly intense hardcore album. Recommended for those into bands such as Heroin, City of Caterpillar, Pg. 99, and Circle Takes the Square.
