5.0 classic
Above and Beyond Tri State
Possibly the best melodic trance album ever released. No trance album has ever come close.
Amazing vocals and melodies, amazing production throughout. Above & beyond deserve all the
hype Highlights: Pretty Much Everythingr Lowlights:Stealing Time, Along Tonight.
The Prodigy Experience
One of the best Electronica albums ever. Every track is so energetic and fast, whilst having enough depth to appeal to music critics, without having to be super slowrHighlights: Charly, Wind It Up, Your Love, Out Of SpacerLowlights: Everybody In The Place- Apart from that every thing is amazing

4.5 superb
Above and Beyond Group Therapy
Not quite as good as Tri-State, but excellent vocals as always as well as a couple of more
ambient like instrumental tracks. rHighlights: Sun & Moon, Thing Called Love, Love Is Not
Enough, Prelude, Sun In Your EyesrLowlights: Back Room Boy, You Got To Go
Basement Jaxx Rooty
Excellent, so much energy in every track. So many different styles combined too, to make it interesting, weather that be progressive house, funk or garage it all works well.rHighlights:rWhere's your head at, Romeo, Jus 1 Kiss, Breakaway
Chicane Far From the Maddening Crowds
Who says trance has to be high energy to be entertaining? Amazing instrumental work throughout, and a perfect fusion of Ibiza chillout and hints of techniques found in more high energy trance tracks. However, I wish there were a few more vocals here and there. rHighlights:rOffshore '97, The Drive Home, Sunstroke, Offshore (Original)
Daft Punk Discovery
Why can't more house music be this funky? Why does it have to be so main room, boring minimal techno influenced? What happened to the funky french touch of house music? This album stands in time as one of the most influential electronic albums of all time. Everyone from Digitalism to Mat Zo to Deadmau5 to Justice has been influenced by this album, but none quite succeed in creating the same level of engagement The vast majoraty of the album is the funkiest 25 or so minutes you'll ever have in your life!. It's a real shame about filler tracks, such as Nightvision, Short Circuit and Veridis Quo, as this prevented me from giving it a perfect 5rHighlights:rOne More Time, Aerodynamic, Digital Love, High Life, Voyager, Face To FacerBuy this album now, if your sick of 'so called' electronic music geniuses such as deadmau5 or if you've grown tired of uninspired tech-house. Additionally if you want to convert electronic music haters to lovers, then play them this album
Mylo Destroy Rock And Roll
Uplifting, melodic are two words to describe this superb album. Combining elements of Downtempo, House and Synthpop it's a rollerocaster ride from start to finish. Great use of vocals bring the tracks to life.rHighlights:rIn My Arms, Paris Four Hundred, Drop The Pressure, Guilty Of Love
Tiesto In Search of Sunrise
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs Trouble
Takes the U.K Deep House/Post-Dubstep sound and makes it into a full-length, album ready style. Very few filler tracks too

4.0 excellent
Armin van Buuren Imagine
This album really excels at what many other trance albums haven't been able to do; really
master vocals. However, that has now changed. Amazing vocals are present from the likes of
Audrey Gallagher and Jenifer Rene. Top notch production work too. Pop trance that is well
produced and accesiable, without being watered down. One of the best trance albums, and his
best work overall

Highlights:
Hold On To Me, Never Say Never.

Lowlights:
Going Wrong is a bit cheesy, Intricacy really isn't that good
Chicane Behind the Sun
Not quite as good as FFTMC, but not far of it. Again, excellent melodies and an increased focus on vocals, which make it much easier to listen to. rHighlights: Saltwater, Don't Give Up, Autumn Tactics
Moby Play
Making electronic music accessible and appealing for the masses, when all that was on offer to many Americans was cheesy watered down trance. Superb production throughout, which incorporates many styles from Ambient to Big Beat to Techno to Rock. Excellent vocals too, but even without them, the album would still be just as greatrHighlights: rHoney, Poreclain, Bodyrock, South Side, Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?
Paul Van Dyk Out There and Back
This is by far his best work, as an overall album. Each track is very interesting, weather or not you choose to listen to it in a mix, or on its own. Excellent vocals toorHighlights: Another Way, Pikes, Out There And Back, We Are Alive, Face To Face r
Paul Van Dyk The Politics of Dancing, Vol. 2

3.5 great
Armand Van Helden Ghettoblaster
Very catchy, funky and easy to listen to house music. Kinda feels like old school Chicago house at one minute and electro house at another. rHighlights: I Want Your Soul, Je T'aime, NYC Beat, Go Crazy
Chicane Giants
A different side of chicane, still with the basic chillout style, but more of a focus on catcy melodies and vocals. That said, there are some great vocals throughout the album, and some of the melodies do stick in your head. However, it will never beat Far From The Madenning Crowds, but at least it's better than somersault.rHighlights:rMiddledistancerunner, From Where I Stand, So Far Out To See
Deadmau5 Random Album Title
By far his best work. In my opinion, deadmau5 excels as a progressive house producer, far above his newer, more electro dubsteppy influenced stuff. Easily the biggest breakthrough producer of 2008, and with good reason.rHighlights:rSometimes Things Get Whatever, Some Kind Of Blue, Brazil, I Remember, Not Exactly, ArgururLowlights:rSlip, Complications, Alone With You, Faxing Berlin, So There I was
Deadmau5 4x4=12
Much better than "For The Lack Of A Better name. The tracks feel a lot more interesting, more tight and better produced. Although I would have preferred it if he went back to his original progressive house based soundrHighlights:rSofi Needs A Ladder, Animal Rights, Raise Your Weapon, Cthulu Sleeps
Paul Van Dyk Evolution
Much better than In Between. rPaul has finally realized that he no longer has the talent and the freshness to create interesting 90's trance instrumentals in a house led DJ culture. Luckily he has teamed up with great vocalists to provide better structure and fresh new producers to provide new styles of production. rHighlights:rThe Ocean, Eternity (haters gonna hate), I Don't Deserve You, The Sun After Heartbreak rLowlights:rWe Come Together, Rock This.rIn Conclusion: Haters gonna hate, but this is his best album since Out There And Back r
Tiesto Just Be
His best work by far. Superb production and great vocals. I just wish there were a few more uptempo tracks. Also I can't stand traffic so you count that one out. rBest Tracks:rLove Comes Again, Adagio For Strings, Just Be, Walking On CloudsrWorst Tracks:rTraffic

3.0 good
Armin van Buuren Mirage
A more substainsal amount of filler compared to Imagine. Some of the vocals feel cheesy and poppy. Instrumental tracks are only so-sorHighlights:rNot Giving Up On Love, I Don't Own You, Take A Moment, Virtual Friend, Youtopia, These Silent Hearts [Although I would prefer it without the vocals]rLowlights:rPretty much anything else.
The Prodigy Invaders Must Die
Not a touch on their previous work. However it's still better to see more The Prodigy than no Prodigy. Highlights are Warriors Dance & Invaders must die
The Prodigy Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned
Refining their sound for a new generation. Highlights are Girls & Spitfire
Tiesto In Search of Sunrise 6: Ibiza
Tiesto In Search of Sunrise 5: Los Angeles

2.5 average
Cascada Everytime We Touch
Each track follows the same unsuccessful formula; cheesy pop vocals over watered down Euro-Trance production. If you aren't aware of Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk or Above & Beyond and like artists like Milk Inc, Lasgo and Groove Coverage, then this album is for you.
Daft Punk Human After All
Not a touch on Discovery. Many of the tracks feel uninspired and lack variation. Technologic and Robot Rock are the only good tracks
Deadmau5 For Lack of a Better Name
Not as good as Random Album Title. Most of the album feels like filler: FML, Hi Friend, and Bot are all very boring, uninspired electro lead house tracks. Ghosts 'N' Stuff is much better, and benefits from a good vocal. Strobe is an electronic masterpiece, shame it had to be included on such a mediocre album. It it were included on random album title it would have made it the electronic album of the decade.
Paul Van Dyk In Between
The only good tracks are those which rely on vocals. Most of the instrumental tracks are very uninspired and are generally uninteresting. Luckily there are a couple of of great vocal tracks: haunted, white lies and let go are very catchy. Other than that this album is stone dead average. By far his worst work to date
Paul Van Dyk Reflections
Tiesto Kaleidoscope
Tiesto Club Life Volume One: Las Vegas

2.0 poor
Basshunter Now You're Gone-The Album
Watered down euro-trance for Clubland TV watchers. Why are these tracks taken so seriously, he's basically a producer who makes tracks as a joke. Tracks that are based on geek lyrics over cheesy FL Studio preset melodies does NOT work
Deadmau5 >album title goes here<
The definition of selling out. Most of the tracks are boring, and rely on badly made, uninspired baselines or vocals. The only saving grace is 'The Veldt', which has become a bit of a grower on me
Paul Oakenfold A Lively Mind
Pop oriantated dance albums can work out well, much like Imagine by Armin Van Buuren. However, this is not that album. Bad (rap?!) vocals are everywhere, as with bad production. This does not feel at all trancey, at some points I thought I had bought a poorly made rap or rock album. Oakenfold is way past his Global Underground best.rHighlights:rNot Over, Switch OnrLiterally everything else is awful.

1.0 awful
David Guetta Nothing but the Beat
Just NO!. I used to respect guetta for catchy, uplifting pop house tunes such as Love Is Gone, Baby When The Light & Everytime We Touch. However, the excellent vocals have now been replaced by some dreadful pop singers. The production work has been replaced by boring uninspired riffs, which can be heard within many of today's mediocre R&B songs. There's literally nothing on this album that I can listen to, without giving me a migraine
