"If Leviathan and CTS had a baby. With nonstandard song structures. And it's their most technical and catchy to
date. How did they pull this off?!"
No way. There is MAYBE a small amount of blood mountain on this record, but the rest is a mishmash of the last 3
albums they've been putting out. Too polished and tame to be compared tp a leviathan, not enough
experimentation and psychedelics to be like blood mountain or CTS. Most of the solos and non chorus moments
are great, but almost each song the seemingly forced a slow, huge, melodic chorus that grinds the songs to a
halt. Songs like tracks 3, 4, 5, 7 are guilty of this. I will say it is better than their last 2 efforts but thats not saying
a ton. Still, some of it I can dig. I guess we shouldn't be too surprised when these dudes are in their mid 40s. |
