| Having never heard deathcore before, I didn't know what to expect, but when I bought the album, I immediately loved the album, as I'm a fan of Slipknot. This aside, the album remains consistently heavy and relentless throughout, making it very easy for me to sit through the whole album, every time making me want more. The downside to the album I would say is that there are not enough songs on the album, and I don't think the sound has been compressed enough to make it as extreme as it could be and the short instrumental is a bit disappointing, but the songs themselves are very good overall. The language in the album is something I'm not bothered by, but it's not for the sensitive listener and the lyrical themes to some people are quite dark and disturbing, making it an altogether more rage filled album, about some of the negative occurrences in the world, yet very apolitical. The guitars in this are cranked up to their absolute limit and the drums are mercilessly pounded to get the most aggressive music possible. If you've bought this I'd say buy the other 2 albums as this is the best album to start with. |
