4.0 excellent |
Alice Cooper Raise Your Fist and Yell |
Bon Jovi New Jersey |
At the time this album came out, you can grab any of the outputs of BON JOVI and always get quality and interesting songwriting. It would be sad if songs like 'Born to be my baby' were never written. |
Bon Jovi Crossroad |
There were some really great songs of this amazing artist to be found on this compilation. If there is someone existing who never heard this band, this CD is quite optimal to get introduced into this New Jersey-based band. |
Damnation Plan The Wakening |
Interesting combination of clean vocals and growling. But all in all there is a little missing to make this album a highlight. |
Devourment Conceived in Sewage |
It was no surprise that DEVOURMENT would get to a higher level. I really like the sound and the evil vibe that dwell within these songs of pure fucking Death Metal. Nothing extremely special, but an album to enjoy. |
Dying Fetus Grotesque Impalement |
First time I heard this band with the title song of this EP. What can I say? I immediately fell in love with the sound of this great US band. The cover artwork is amazing. Just the bonus tracks irritate a little. But in the end they are fun, too. Thumbs up! |
Eternal Tears of Sorrow Saivon Lapsi |
Absolutely good album, but I miss a song in the style of 'Tears of autumn rain' or 'Red dawn rising' on it. On this album is a pearl to be found. Listen to 'Sound of silence' and you know what I mean. |
Immolation Here in After |
Kataklysm The Mystical Gate of Reincarnation |
Oh how I enjoy the vocals on this album. I mean, Maurizio is a good vocalist, but the growling on this EP is massive. KATAKLYSM have the attitude of "fuck tomorrow, my time is today" and I think, you can hear this aggression on "The mystical gate of reincarnation" very well. |
Lita Ford Dangerous Curves |
This is one of my faves from LITA FORD and I really enjoy songs like 'Playing with fire' and 'Shot of poison'. It remembers me always of good times hangin' around with friends. Not every song on it is a classic one, but when it comes to rating her voice it leaves me with a smile. |
Morbid Angel Covenant |
Nile Those Whom the Gods Detest |
Oh my god. How cool can a band get at all? 'Permitting the noble dead to descend to the underworld' is only one of the "out of this world"-compositions of these guys from South Carolina. The only thing I don't like on this album is the guy in tower calling them to pray. Sounds so weird. |
Nile At The Gate of Sethu |
A great piece of music. As always. The sound changed a little and I still don't know my true feelings about it. In the end the compositions are the most important thing and you guys out there know about the quality of this band. Can't be worse at all. |
Sulphur Aeon Swallowed by the Ocean's Tide |
Songs with a symphonic but brutal character. The perfection of some song parts are a blast, but there is a little problem with the sound. Feel free to play a little with your equalizer and change the sound the way you want it to be. This can make the difference of you're likin' it or not. |
Vorum Poisoned Void |
Sounds a litlle swedish and US-style as well. But it's coming from Finland. Interesting thing... hmm... |
3.5 great |
Alice Cooper The Last Temptation |
Bon Jovi Bon Jovi |
The debut of an (Hard) Rock superstar and vocalist, who is doing a great job in writing songs, that had to be remembered. 'Runaway' and 'She don't know me' are only two of them. Check them out! |
Bon Jovi 7800° Fahrenheit |
'Only lonely' and 'Tokyo Road' are songs I listen to for years. Never had bad feelings about his album, even if 'Silent Night' is a little irritating. |
Leviathan (DE) The Aeons Torn |
These guys sound a little like WINTERSUN. I like that feeling the songs have, but when it comes to the clean vocals it's a little hard to listen to this album. |
Metallica ...And Justice for All |
Ok, let's face it. "And justice for all" was a good album. But there are some problems. The sound is a little crappy and the bass guitar is missing. Next thing is the length of the songs. Some of them would be more interesting without making every song an epic. My fave is 'One'. No doubt about it! |
Nile In The Beginning |
Simply the two EPs "Festivals of atonement" and "Ramses bringer of war" put out on one disc. There is one holy piece on this CD and it's called 'Wrought'. What a melody-line! The other thing is, that I like this version of 'Die Rache - Krieg Lied der Assyriche" much more than the one of the first album. Both great, but this one is classic to me. |
