  • YetAnotherBrick You know, that's a really good point. I may be able to read those lyrics without feeling guilty now, haha.

  • YetAnotherBrick And speaking of lyrics, you know, the only lyrics from Jane Doe that I know are the ones that can easily be heard. ("No love, no hope," "I'll take my love to the grave," etc.) I've never really looked up any more of the lyrics, because I'm afraid it'll ruin the concept/feel of the album for me.

  • YetAnotherBrick Yeah, I'm really intrigued about You Fail Me, from what I've heard about it. I think either that or PtES will be the next Converge album I get. And yeah, Axe to Fall's lyrics don't really have that same mysticism as Jane Doe (that's a great way to put it), but I still think they're great. I forget what song it's from, but I love the line "I've lived like true angels, I've only learned to fall, I've sold myself to death for nothing at all."

  • YetAnotherBrick What do you think is Converge's second best album? The only other one I've heard in its entirety is Axe to Fall, and it's really good, but definitely no Jane Doe. I've heard a few songs from Petitioning and You Fail Me too, but like I said, in my opinion, Jane Doe is something else entirely.

  • YetAnotherBrick Damn straight.During that pulsing outro, I always sort of picture this like, silhouette of a girl, just really slowly fading away with each note in that part. That's the part where I usually fall on my knees and start rolling around on the floor and stuff lol
