shibole Thanks man. Yea, MAYH is definitely not my favourite. Basically the first three Opeth albums kind of annoy me because the songs make no compositional sense. They are basically just riff... followed by unrelated riff... sure the atmosphere is pretty cool but it just bugs me. There are some really cool parts on MAYH but I really can't get over how unrealised some of the ideas on it are. When I listen to something like Still Life, I feel like each song really is its own song if you know what I mean October 4 04:32 AM
