  • Rowan5215 yeah not a huge fan of Auctioneer or Wendell Gee which does mark Fables down a tiny bit. also tend to skip Give it Away though tbf which is one of the least interesting songs on the first 4 albums for me. Green and Document both feel like EPs padded out to full album length to me lol, if you combined them into one you'd have a pretty great album probably. Green especially is just all over the place and not in a fun way

  • Rowan5215 yea Document is the easy worst lol. just outside my bottom 3 REM albums honestly, Around the Sun and Green are definitely the bottom 2. Fables might actually be my favourite album from the IRS era depending on my mood, it and Pageant are dead even

  • Rowan5215 fair. Monster is so ugly sounding I kinda struggle with it even sober lmao, but I do get that's kinda the point of it. Fables on the other hand sounds like it'd be incredible high, god I love the whole Southern Gothic dreamy blur feel of that album so much. crazy underrated

  • Rowan5215 that sounds pretty great ngl. the one time i did it was at a wild NYE party after a lotta drinking and it was less than optimal lmao. chillin to REM sounds perfect as long as it's not Monster lol
