Look Outside Your Window Look Outside Your Window
After nearly 20 years, the long awaited "Slipknot" album has finally surfaced.
It was always prefaced to be nothing like Slipknot and more akin to Radiohead or Pink
Floyd.
It certainly does not reach those heights but still has some decent material regardless.
Much of the album is stream-of-consciousness jamming.
It sounds like most of the songs aren't finished in a traditional sense, you won't find
the usual verse, chorus, verse, bridge formula here.
However, there are some interesting ideas
Corey Taylor has some great melodies and some unique screaming bits unheard in past

Bring Me The Horizon Count Your Blessings | Repented
Run of the mill deathcore from the Myspace era. Maybe with modern production it could be interesting but the material here is very one note and generic 		2.5

Poison the Well Peace In Place
This album sounds like it was kept in a time capsule for a decade and just randomly found its way to the Internet. Simultaneously, it does evolve the band in some ways while also touching on elements of every album that came before it. It's great. And gets better with repeated listens 		5.0
