  • mvdu What are your favorites on the album? I think You?ll Need A New Backseat Driver is a terrific opener. Colossus of Rhodes gives a rush of energy. Higher Beams has a cool string-centered hook. You Won?t Need Those Where You Are Going has a pretty simplicity. And One Kind Of Solomon is classic majestic NP.

  • Rowan5215 The Ghost Within, Lie Without a Liar, Bus Lines and Grand Scheme are all absolutely killer tunes from IX. I still think the opening trio is very weak on that album and the production doesn't do the songs too many favours - combine that with following Lost Songs and it's very easy to write off, but it's definitely still a good album. also I love the Worlds Apart title track! HEY **** YOU MAAAAAAANNN

  • Rowan5215 damn I don't even remember that in all honestly lol, is it spoken word or is he fully singing? I gotta say in general they have a much much stronger discog than they get credit for imo, like IX started growing on me something fierce, and even though Worlds Apart isn't exactly a classic I can't write off any album with Summer of 91, Let Dive In and goddamn Caterwaul on it

  • Rowan5215 look I do like Wasted State of Mind and Witch's Web a whole lot. Stand in Silence is pretty dece too. but the complete absence of Reece or anything resembling energy reeeeally drags that album down and makes it a rough listen :/
