 | Pile Sunshine and Balance Beams Equal parts serene and brutal - often all at once. Pile not only return to their post-hardcore roots but they return with what they've learned in their more linear and experimental detours from the past couple releases. Lush strings, beautiful duets clash with harsh scramz, filthy guitar licks, and angular melodies. Top tracks: Deep Clay, A Loosened Knot, Born at Night, Holds, Carrion Song. | 4.5 08.13.25 | | Everything Everything Mountainhead Catchy, thoughtful pop. Unfortunately, the last few tracks lose the incredible momentum set by the rest of the record. End of the Contender, Cold Reactor, Buddy, Come Over, Mad Stone, Don't Ask Me to Beg, and Dagger's Edge are the standouts. | 3.5 03.01.24 | | Pile All Fiction
