	Joy Division Unknown Pleasures There's a penchant to approach, with caution and reinforced criticality, anything that is too popular, and perhaps the official Sputnik rating is a symptom of that. But do not be mistaken, Unknow Pleasures is easily one of the best post-punk albums. The band exploded on to the scene with extremely catchy and groovy music, and became wildly popular in Manchester very quickly. In typical post-punk style, Peter Hook's bass was at the forefront in nearly every song, and with Sumner's exemplary guitar work, all the tracks on Unknown pleasures have iconic and unforgettable tunes.
