Loudblast Frozen Moments Between Life and Death
Great album, thinking it may well deserve more than a 3.5 for the fantastic title track alone (awesome main riff too), maybe I'll increase it later ;)

OK 3/5 is maybe a bit harsh as it's a decent album, it's just not too memorable for me. Maybe in time I'll come to appreciate it more but for me it's not one of their best. Special mention for 'Monolith' which is truly infectious even if not as brutal as the title had me expecting.

Machine Head Unatoned
I'm disappointed with this album, the last one was surprisingly decent but in truth I haven't been totally on board with Machine Head albums since The Blackening (even though I don't get the hype about the song 'Halo'). However each subsequent release has had some gems, even if just one or two, sometimes three or four. Of Kingdom & Crown sounded surprisingly focused, incredibly well produced and seemed to bring something a little different but with all the trademark MH signatures (pinch harmonics and brooding breakdowns). rI'm a big fan of Robb & co, can't really hate anything he/they do but...well actually yes I can 'These scars won't defin

Life of Agony The Sound Of Scars
For me it doesn't come close to the first four albums but then again it may grow on me some more. It's actually a fun listen, quite upbeat sounding, has something of a STP meets LOA vibe (Weiland was surely an influence on Caputo) which I suppose is a little different for LOA even if Broken Valley had a little of that too. Scars, Black heart & Stone are my three top picks.

  • KayCato Yo. You have really good taste. You're a supporter of Pleymo's underrated genius and recognize that Cold are a staple of modern rock. Good s***.
