| 4.0 09.20.25 | | Deftones private music PM is a fantastic record through and through, but all the talk about this being the best thing they've ever done or even the best since KNY / DE is premium glaze. Ohms is easily just as good as this, and honestly a better representation of the band sonically whereas this is super melodic and brings the nostalgia feels with songs like infinite source and cut hands (legitimately two of the best songs they've ever written). To me, this is more like a succinct and economic career retrospective favoring the bands melodic / shoegazey side whereas Ohms is the darker, more progressive brother. | 4.0 08.20.25 | | letlive. | 4.0 06.24.25 | | Propagandhi At Peace After an 8-year gap, Propagandhi return with At Peace, easily
their most distinct and experimental record yet. This time the
guys slowed things down and lean into their metal and progressive
sides, eschewing their light speed thrash tempos for mid-tempo
grooves and letting the songs breathe a lot more—combined with
Chris's odd vocal delivery and Todd's vocal change up to softer
melodic singing, this makes for a much less intense record than
many fans would be expecting, but it's hardly a bad thing, just
different. "Stargazing" is by far the most unique song the band

| 3.5 02.26.25 | | The Mars Volta Lucro Sucio; Los Ojos Del Vacío One listen in and this is most definitely what the s/t should have been - showing off TMV"s ability to write great hooks and concise songs without sacrificing the progressive weirdness they're known for. They're still not going back to the manic craziness of Frances or Goliath and the record is still understated and subtle like the s/t, but there's a LOT more of that signature TMV experimental and prog feel in this than the minimalist, stripped-back stylings of the s/t. It's pretty good y'all | 4.0 02.07.25 |

 | claygurnz Pretty sure it was you who defended my review on SP reddit lol. Thanks, seems like most people on there actually think Atum is any good, which just baffles me.
