Kelly Clarkson My December
Kelly Ckarkson has one of the great voices in pop music. Kelly Clarkson wants to be a rock singer. At this point in her career she does not sound like a person who can sing rock with conviction. We'll see.		2.5

Various Artists A Christmas Gift For You
No doubt one of the great Christmas albums of all time. Of course the Santa Claus that produced it is a tad eclectic but hey.		4.5

Sly and The Family Stone There's A Riot Goin' On
There's A Riot Goin' on is one of those albums that has paled with the passage of time. Released during the height of the Vietnam War plus Kent State and riots and protests across the United States it maintains an edge between love and hate. Rare at the time especially for an intergraded group. The historical lesson is just as important as the music. 		4.0

James Gang Rides Again
Joe Walsh, without the musical confines of the Eagles, is always an interesting experience. The James Gang is one of the classic hard rock groups of the 1970's. They are always worth a listen.		4.0

The Beach Boys Pet Sounds
Pet Sounds is rightly recognized as a classic album. However we many times forget that it was a link in an unfinihed chain. Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys sound can be traced from their earliest albums through the increasing sophistication of Little Duece Coupe to the concept of All Summer Long to the brilliance of Pet Sounds. It was all leading to Smile which was never finished. 		4.5

Rock music meets American culture. Frank Sinatra in the forties, Elvis in the fifties and the Beatles in the sixties all defined their decades. This was the first Elvis album and thus had the greatest impact. 		5.0
