Look Outside Your Window Look Outside Your Window
First let me say - happy as hell that this was finally released. Have listened a few times
to the vinyl mix. Some great moments - and a few excellent tracks; especially in the middle
of the album, from "Is Real" to "In Reverse". "In Reverse" sounds as if, similar to "Till We
Die", it could have been an AHIG extra track. Corey Taylor's vocals are on point for most
of the tracks ("Toad" is a good example) - and dig the Cristina Scabbia guest spot on "Is
Real". But landing on good overall, as early and later tracks don't become greater than a
temporary listen or an oddity.

Am intriguing band from the late 1990?s metal scene in Iowa. Female fronted and a bit Slipknot; even Corey Taylor guests on this.

Sandra Nasic The Signal
Wasn?t expecting this album to be as great - and as heavy (on select tracks) - as it is. The Name of my Baby is likely the best track, but lots to like here.

Guano Apes Don't Give Me Names
A more consistent and stronger album than their debut, but with lesser highs (songs that stay with you). Big in Japan is
good, but it’s no Open Your Eyes.

Exilia Unleashed XX
Slightly eclipses the original due to added tracks and remastering; but both this version and the original both slap hard.

Exilia Heroes and Dust
A grittier, heavier alt metal album. Returning to a heavier sound, but not a nu metal sound.

  • cycosynner You're right; it is ****ing insanity that the political right still has the cultural capital they do. It's really disturbing and scary how popular Trump, and to some extent DeSantis, are. I don't think either of them could actually win an election, but I do believe they are still a threat.
