  • JohnnyoftheWell as for Boris, it's kinda hard to say because all of their albums do q different things. I'd say the vinyl version (!!) of Pink is the best way in bc it bridges the gap between their stoner rock and their long drone jams, but Heavy Rocks or Akuma no Uta are pretty succinct rock bangers if you wanna start with that. Maybe jam [Untitled] (last track on Smile) a few times first because that is amazing and pretty accessible and lays down their drone metal sound more accessibly

  • JohnnyoftheWell Hmmmm Leaves is amazing but also a very slow grower - it has very little in common with Unwound's other stuff, so no harm in starting there if you're prepared for that. Earlier Unwound might actually prep you for noisey Boris better than some Boris lol, although different strokes. Repetition is a good way in - can't remember if you jam Fugazi, but there's some dec overlap there

  • JohnnyoftheWell yo check out Boris and Unwound - I also love Isis, but a lot of the reasons for that has a lot of healthy overlap with both those two ;]

  • neekafat Oh god I guess it did it to me too hahaha! Yeah that's the album I was talking about. It's good but yeah, pretty bland compared to their usual stuff. Kinda like a less interesting Mylo
